Answer» It was started by late Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi in the year 1975. It was later reconstituted in the year 1982 and 1986. This program underwent policy changes from time to time. In the year 2006, it was reconstituted. According to T.P.P This program is included in National Common minimum program, United Nations, and in SAARC social charter’s millennium development goals. This reconstituted program was called 20 – point program. The plan was approved in 5th October, 2006. Main objective of this program was to remove poverty, increase productivity, reduce the inequalities of income, social and economic development etc. |
