The warm air from the room is drawn in at the bottom, it passes over the coils of evaporator and chilled air is blown out in the room through the directing louvers. Such units use direct refrigerant in their cooling coils or brine is circulated in which case secondary coils are to be provided. For large cold storages the rooms are cooled by brine which is cooled at control point and pumped through pipes to the respective rooms.
