Answer» The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) informely called Mangalyaan (Sanskrit name for Mars craft) is a mars orbiter launched into Earth orbit. On 5^th Nov 2013 by (Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) (8) (9) (10) (11). It is expected to enter orbit around Mars on 24 Sep 2014. The mission is a technology demonstrator project aiming to develop the technologies required for design, planning, management and operation of a Inter planatery mission.
