Answer» The great indian desert is KNOWN as thar desert. it is the hottest place in India, the reason why the desert is formed on that place is because of the topography of that REGION I.e. in that region mountain ranges are PARALLEL to the direction of wind due to which wind do not obstruct and due to which no RAINFALL occurs there(orographic rainfall) this all result in the desert in the AREA of rajasthan.
