Food Adulteration

Respected sir and dear classmates, let us discuss the problem of food adulteration which has become a serious danger for our health. It is, in fact, any undesirable change in the composition of any food item for economic benefit. It brings down the nutritional value of the food and may cause serious health problems in consumers.
There are many mineral oils which when added to food items may cause cancer, paralysis etc. Mixing palm oil in cooking vegetable oils, adding synthetic milk in pure milk have become common. We must take up the necessary steps to prevent food adulteration.

आदरणीय शिक्षक महोदय और प्रिय सहपाठियो, आइये खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट की समस्या पर चर्चा करते हैं जो कि हमारे स्वास्थ्य के लिए एक गम्भीर खतरा बन गई है। आर्थिक लाभ के लिए किसी खाद्य पदार्थ के रूप में किसी भी प्रकार का अवांछनीय परिवर्तन करना उसमें मिलावट कहलाता है। इससे भोजन के पोषक तत्व कम हो जाते हैं और उपभोक्ताओं को स्वास्थ्य सम्बन्धी गम्भीर समस्याएं हो सकती हैं।

ऐसे बहुत से खनिज तेल हैं जिन्हें भोज्य पदार्थों में मिला देने से कैन्सर, पक्षाघात इत्यादि बीमारियाँ हो सकती हैं। वनस्पति तेलों में पाम ऑयल मिलाना, शुद्ध दूध में कृत्रिम दूध मिलाना सामान्य हो गया है। हमें खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट को रोकने के लिए आवश्यक कदम उठाने होंगे।
