Importance of Games and Sports

Respected sir and dear classmates, games and sports are not only important for success in studies but these are important for success in every walk of life. In the advanced countries of the present day, games and sports are compulsory features of school and college curriculum. These help us in building good physique and make us mentally alert.
These develop courage and feeling of co-operation when we play in a team before many spectators. Games and sports are so important that every civilized nation spends a large sum of money on improving the standard of games. So every one of us should take part in games for all-round development.

आदरणीय शिक्षक महोदय व प्रिय सहपाठियो, खेलकूद केवल पढ़ाई में सफलता के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में सफलता के लिए आवश्यक हैं। वर्तमान समय में विकसित देशों में खेलकूद स्कूल व कॉलेज पाठ्यचर्या के आवश्यक अंग हैं। ये हमें अच्छा शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य बनाने तथा मानसिक सचेतता की स्थिति प्राप्त करने में सहायक होते हैं।
जब हम एक टीम के रूप में दर्शकों के सामने खेलते हैं तो हममें साहस व सहयोग की भावना का विकास होता है। खेलकूद का इतना अधिक महत्व है कि प्रत्येक सभ्य राष्ट्र खेलकूद का स्तर सुधारने के लिए काफी बड़ी धनराशि खर्च करता है। इसलिए हममें से प्रत्येक को सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए खेलों में भाग लेना चाहिए।
