People belonging to different castes and regions, speaking different languages and practising different religions, customs and traditions live here. They have different habits of food and dress. In such a scenario, there is a great need to maintain national integration. Though it is a Herculean task yet if the country is to make progress and become a developed, strong and prosperous country, the divisive forces, linguistic nationalism, religious fanaticism, class and caste differences will have to be defeated and crushed with an iron hand.
