A Person Who Violated A Rule Unknowingly And Was Punished

I know Ram Lal. He lives near my house. He went to see his friend on a scooter. He lived in Janta Colony. He was going on Gandhi Road. It is a busy road. Cars, tongas, scooters, cycles etc. were coming and going. Everyone seemed in a hurry. There were some traffic policemen to control the traffic. People were also coming and going on foot. As per road rule, Ram Lal was to his left. There was a restaurant on the right-hand side. He was going there. Now he was on wrong side. A traffic policeman came to him and caught him. He harassed the old man. The old man had to pay penalty for this. The policeman let him go. Though he did mistake unknowingly yet he had to pay for it.

मैं रामलाल को जानता हूँ। वह मेरे मकान के निकट रहता है। वह स्कूटर से अपने मित्र से मिलने गया। वह जनता कॉलोनी में रहता था। वह गाँधी रोड पर चल रहा था। यह एक व्यस्त रोड है। कारें, तांगे, स्कूटर, साइकलें आदि आ-जा रहे थे। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जल्दी में दिखाई पड़ता था, वहाँ कुछ यातायात पुलिस के सिपाही यातायात के नियन्त्रण के लिये थे। लोग पैदल भी आ-जा रहे थे। सड़क के नियम के अनुसार रामलाल अपनी बायीं ओर चल रहा था। एक अल्प-जलपान-गृह दाहिनी ओर था। वह उधर जा रहा था। अब वह गलत ओर था। यातायात का सिपाही उसके पास आया और उसे पकड़ लिया। उसने उसको परेशान किया। वृद्ध आदमी को इसके लिए जुर्माना भरना पड़ा। सिपाही ने उसे जाने दिया। हालांकि उससे यह गलती अनजाने में हुई किन्तु उसे इसका दण्ड भुगतना पड़ा।
