Answer» Democracy is based on a fundamental principle of political\xa0equality. In a\xa0democracy, each adult citizen must have one vote and each vote must have one\xa0value. But there are many instances of denial of equal right to vote:(i) In Saudi Arabia women do not have the right to vote.(ii) Estonia has made its citizenship\xa0rules in such a way that people belonging to Russian minority\xa0find it difficult to get the right to vote.(iii) In Fiji, the electoral\xa0system is such that\xa0the vote of an indigenous Fiji has more value than that of an Indian-Fijian. \t\tIt stresses on, political equality.\t\t\tIt means that everyone in the country\xa0irrespective of the caste,\xa0colour, gender, creed and income earned is allowed to vote for his own representative.\t\t\tThe choice\xa0and opportunity is available to all the citizens on an equal basis without\xa0any discrimination on the basis of\xa0gender, caste, colour,etc.\t\t\tThe policy of one persons one vote, and one value should be followed in a\xa0democracy.\t
