The method of observing celestial latitude and longitude is precisely the same as that described for Samrat Yantra, and just as the quadrant of the latter represents the equator, so also the quadrants of the Rashivalaya REPRESENT the ecliptic at the MOMENT of observation. The instruments are constructed in such a scientific WAY that ONE of these 12 is used, at the moment, when each sign of the zodiac reaches the local meridian. |
