Students and Politics

Students of today are the future guardians of our nation's suitable title density. They are the moulders and builders of future India. Political consiciousness is  therefore, an indispensable factor contributing to the growth and development of discipline, which is one of the essential requisities of democracy.

Those who oppose the the participation of students in politics put the strong case that politics is a dirty game. It would destroy Student's future. Politics makes a great interference in their studies. It would divert their attention from learning.

Those who support the students to participate in politics argue that education does not mean mere literacy. It means a total and all-round development of personality. It makes them aware of what is happening is his/her country and in the world around them. It also develops in the students the qualities of leadership.

Participation in politics trains a student to be a good citizen. It gives them training of the democratic way of life. Into a responsible and cultured citizen. It creates'in him the sense of patriotism. It helps them to lead a successful life.

So, students should therefore, pay primary attention to their studies, But, at the same time, they should keep themselves informed about what is happening around them and if it is the call of time, they should surely  take active part in politics.
