Answer» Vertebrates have a true vertebral column and internal skeleton. Skeleton allowing a completely different distribution of muscle attachment points to be used for movement. Vertebrates are bilaterally symmetrical, triploblastic coelomic, and segmented. Vertebrates have complex differentiation of body tissue and organs.
