Answer» One main difference between sexual and a sexual reproduction is that sexual reproduction involves fusion of gametes derived through either same parent or different parents but having produced through meiosis whereas asexual reproduction occurs only by a single parent and doesn't involve meiosis. The species reproducing sexually has better chances of survival cause asexual reproduction results in offspring having the same properties whereas sexual reproduction results in variation among offsprings. Hence during adverse conditions, populations having variations along themselves have a better chance for survival. |
