❖ The Quit India Movement is also KNOWN as the India August Movement.
❖ This movement started on 9 Aug, 1942.
❖ The Quit India Movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942 in protest against sending Indian troops to FIGHT in World WAR II & demanded the immediate independence of India from the British.
❖ The Quit India movement was ENDORSED after talks between the Congress & the British had failed.
❖ The Quit India Movement was a civil disobedience movement launched in India in August 1942.
❖ The main purpose of this civil disobedience movement of India was to face the British in the non-violent ways.
