Write the preamble of Indian Constitution. |

Answer» The meaning of the preamble is, “The initially and introductory statement of a book, a speech, an essay or an epic”. In the beginning of every constitution there is an introduction in which the objectives and purposes of the constitution are mentioned. All the provisions of the constitution are incorporated in it. The facts, principles and ideals that are mentioned in the introduction can be seen in the entire constitution. In Indian Constitution, the ideals, values and the aspirations of the constitution have been laid down clearly in the preamble. The introduction of Indian constitution is given below: We, the people of India having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC. REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizen JUSTICE, Social, economic and political LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship. EQUALITY of status and of opportunity and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the diginity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation in our Constituent Assembly this twenty – sixty day of November, 1949, do hereby adopt, enact and give to ourselves this constitution. The preamble of Indian Constitution is based on the objective resolution drafted and presented by Pandit Jawahar Lai Nehru on 13th December 1946 and passed by the Constituent Assembly. The preamble can be referred to as the preface which .gives a peek into the entire constitution. It was adopted on 26 November 1949 by the constituent assembly and came into effect on 26th January 1950. |
