The allotropes of carbon are classified into two types. 

They are 

i) Amorphous forms, 

ii) Crystalline forms. 

Examples : Amorphous forms :

Coal, coke, wood charcoal, animal charcoal, lamp black, gas carbon, petroleum coke, sugar charcoal, etc. 

Crystalline forms : 

Diamond, graphite, and buckminsterfullerene.
