Problems Caused by Stray Animals on the Road

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the nuisance caused by strayed animals. There are occasions when the wild animals come out of their secured parks. This is due to the negligence of the keepers. Such wild animals prey upon children and old people. Fear is let loose and the peaceful life of the people is disturbed. Then there are strayed cattle-cows, buffaloes, bulls and wounded horses onthe roads. They spoil the roads with their dung and urine. Thus they create health hazards. The presence of these animals adds to the traffic problems. The roads are already overcrowded with vehicles and are narrowed by the encroachment of several shop-keepers. The frequency and chances of road accidents increase all the more. Hope the authorities will take strong steps to solve problems in public interest.

आप के सम्मानित समाचार पत्र के स्तम्भ द्वारा मैं सम्बन्धित अधिकारियों का ध्यान आवारा पशुओं द्वारा जनित मुसीबत की ओर आकर्षित करना चाहता हूँ। ऐसे भी अवसर होते हैं जब जंगली जानवर अपने सुरक्षित पार्को से बाहर निकल आते हैं। यह कीपर्स की लापरवाही के कारण होता है। ये जंगली जानवर बच्चों और कमजोर लोगों को अपना शिकार बनाते हैं। भय को खुला छोड़ दिया जाता है और लोगों के शान्तिपूर्ण जीवन में विघ्न पड़ता है। इसके अतिरिक्त गाय, भैंस, साँड और जख्मी घोड़ों जैसे आवारा जानवर सड़कों पर होते हैं। वे अपने मूत्र और गोबर से सड़कों को खराब करते हैं। इस प्रकार वे स्वास्थ्य के लिये एक खतरा पैदा करते हैं। सड़कों पर इन जानवरों की उपस्थिति यातायात की कठिनाईयों को और बढ़ा देती है। सड़कों पर पहले से ही बहुत भीड़ है और कई दुकानदारों के अतिक्रमण से सड़कें संकुचित हो जाती हैं। सड़क पर दुर्घटनाओं के अवसर तथा उनकी आवृति और भी बढ़ जाती।

आशा की जाती है कि जनता के हित में अधिकारीगण इस समस्या को कम करने के लिये और अधिक सख्त कार्यवाई करेंगे। हितेश
