Dear Diary,

I am very scared today. When I look at the situation which we all are in i.e., hot and humid weather and the rotten things all around, I feel disappointed. There is no water to drink though we all are parched. There is no hope of survival. I regret having approved the act of killing the Albatross by the Ancient Mariner. Of course, he had brought us good luck as the south wind started blowing, the fog lifted and the icebergs split with the arrival of the Albatross. The Ancient Mariner should not have killed it. Now we are all stuck in the silent sea. It seems as if it is a punishment for the crime committed by the Ancient Mariner. Our future is doubtful as I think we won’t be able to escape from the silent sea. Everyone on the ship is sad and desperate. We all are undergoing suffering from which we do not find any respite. Hope everything gets on a smooth track though I have doubts about it.
