Answer»

Solution :1. The term USED for rearing and caring of animal livestock is animal husbandry.
2. Three major aspects in animal husbandry are as follows:
1. Feeding: Animals are fed with proper and nutritious FOOD. Theirgrowth and development should be proper. Their health should be normal. Therefore regular feeding is carried oupt. Cattle have two types of feeds depending UPON their stage of life. These are maintenance diet and lactation diet.
2. Breeding: Cross breeding between local breeds adn exotic breeds is done so that characters of both the varieties are passed on to the next HYBRID generation. In cattle the exotic breeds have higher lactation capacity while the local breeds have better resistance to fight against diseases. Therefore, in breeding such practices are used. In some cattle breeding artificial insemination technique is used for guaranteed production of desirable offspring.
3. Disease control: Cattle are susceptible to many infections due to fungi, bacteria, virus, nematodes and other parasites. To protect them against all the diseases, they are vaccinated. Regular VISITS by veterinarians help to keep the livestock health. In case of any infection, they are given proper treatment. The cattle shed is always kept clean and well ventilated in order to prevent illness.
Management practices include looking well after all the three aspects given above.
