How to balance the redox reaction using oxidation number

Answer» Step for balancing redox reaction by oxidation number method : ------------(1.) Write the skeleton redox reaction. (2.) Indicate the oxidation number of atoms in each compound above the symbol of the elements. (3.) Identify the elements/ element, which undergo a change in oxidation number, one whose oxidation number increases and the other whose oxidation number decreases. (4.) Calculate the increase/decrease in oxidation number per atom. Multiply this number of increase/decrease of oxidation number, with the number of atoms, which are undergoing change.(5.) Equate the increase in oxidation number with decrease in oxidation number on the reactant side by multiplying the formulea of the oxidizing and reducing agent.(6.) Balance the equation with respect to all other atoms except hydrogen and oxygen. (7.) Finally, Balance hydrogen and oxygen. (8.) For reaction taking place in acidic solutions, add H^ ions to the side deficient in hydrogen atoms. { symbol (^) means + }(9.) For reaction taking place in basics solution add molecules of water to the side deficient in hydrogen atoms and simultaneously add equal number of OH^ ions on the other side of the equation. { symbol?(^) means that - }[ I hope this will help you].

Why noble gases have positive electron gain enthalpy ???

Answer» Thank you so much ....Xyz Abc I understood properly....??
It is bcoz their octat is alredy completed. So in order to gain an electron, they need to absorb energy to make one more energy level for the new electron. So its an endothermic process bcoz of whicb it is positive
They are already stable so they have no need to gain electron and become unstable....
10.

What is isolated gaseous atom??? ....

Answer» Thanks Mr. Thakur
For this reason, the term ISOLATED GASEOUS ATOM is used in the definition of ionization enthalphy. Ground state of an atom refers to the most stable state of an atom. If an isolated gaseous atom is in its ground state, then less amount of energy would be required to remove an electron from it.
Used in ionization enthaply to remove most loosely bound electron
Thanks aadi.....??
Ishu we can say it is most stable state of atom

What is photoelectric effect ????

Answer» The phenomenon of ejection of electrons from the surface of a metal when light of suitable frequency strike on it,, is called photoelectric effect... ..... The emitted electrons are called photoelectrons.
14.

What is effect of Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle?????......**

Answer» I think ur saying about what is heisenberg uncertinity principle it simply means electrons are very microscopic particle which we can\'t see and this law simply states that it is impossible to measured velocity and momentum and locate a position of a micro particle (electron) at same time. The reason behind this electons moves with a speed of light if we determine its position than we can\'t measures it momentum
15.

What is the significance of schrodinger\'s equation?

Answer» It provide us four no. 2 which are principal no. Azuimithal no. Magnetic no. And spinning .which give info. Of electron of particular atom.
It is signifies the probability of electron found in 3- dimension
16.

In the e.c of Cr, why are 2 electrons not added to the s- orbital of the 4th shell?

Answer» Tq Mohit Kumar Singh
Hope satisfied with the answer
Here Configuration of cr is 1s2, 2s2, 2p6,3s2, 3p6, 4s1,3d5 s orbital can\'t accommodate two more electons
I dont think so..
Because half field and ful field orbitals are more stable then
Because cr and cu thise are exceptions case
