M = Value of \([\frac{N+1}{2}]\) th item

= Value of \([\frac{63+1}{2}]\) th item = value of 32^th item

Item 32^th is included in the cumulative frequency 42. The value under cumulative frequency 42 is 8.

Hence, Median = 8
