Mention the three points of information which seals of indus valley civilization give us.

Answer»

Indus Valley Civilisation produced a lot of artefacts and art forms. Indus Valley art form emerged during the second half of the third millennium BCE (i.e. from 2500 BC onwards). Thousands of seals have been discovered by archaeologists from the Harappan sites. Most of the seals were made of STEATITE, which is a kind of soft stone. A few of them were also made of terracotta, gold, agate, chert, ivory and faience. The standard Harappan seal was square in shape with a 2X2 dimension. It is believed that the seals were used for commercial purposes. A few seals were also CARRIED as amulets, perhaps as a kind of IDENTITY card. All the seals have PICTURES of animals with something written in a pictographic script (which is yet to be deciphered). Chiefly, the animals represented are tigers, elephants, bulls, bisons, goats and so on. Most of the seals have been written on both sides. The writings are in the Kharosthi style (right to left). Some seals have mathematical images and must have been used for educational purposes. The most famous seal is the Pashupati Seal of Harappan civilization from Mohenjo Daro. It is a seal with a figure seated cross-legged in the CENTRE with animals around; an elephant and a tiger to the right of the figure and a rhino and a buffalo to its left.Harappan Seals Question for UPSCConsider the following about Indus Valley Civilization:Seals of Indus valley are made of steatite onlySeals of Indus valley are in Rectangular in shapeWhich of the following are correct?1 only2 onlyBothnone

Why did the of the textile industry bring the urbanization in india

Answer»

The city life with its myriad problems is becoming unappealing to most and the peri-URBAN areas have been paying a heavy price for urbanisation. We NEED to stop pretending that it is the government’s problem and that there is time.Broadly, an urban area is one that has a high population density, engaged in occupations other than food production, living in a highly built environment. To appreciate the current problems of urbanisation we need a quick recap: technology was primitive and a majority of people were engaged in the production of food, while living in a natural environment. Technology advanced and just a few people could achieve the production of more and more food. This provided food security and encouraged the diversification of economic activity away from the farming field. More people were free to become full-time traders, artisans, musicians, scholars, etc., thus giving birth to urban areas. An urban area is one where economic activities are centralised. Urban population grew consistently although there remained equilibrium between urban area and its population. It was the INDUSTRIAL revolution of 18th century Europe that brought about a dramatic rise in urbanisation, i.e. migration of people from rural to urban areas. Factories pulled labour from rural areas, and urban areas mushroomed to accommodate these migrants.

Answer»

The Society of the Friends of the Constitution (French: Société des amis de la Constitution), after 1792 renamed Society of the Jacobins, Friends of Freedom and Equality commonly known as the Jacobin Club (Club des Jacobins) or simply the Jacobins, became the most influential political club during the French Revolution of 1789. The period of their political ASCENDANCY includes the Reign of Terror, during which time well over ten thousand people were put on trial and executed in France, many for political crimes.Initially founded in 1789 by anti-royalist deputies from Brittany, the club GREW into a nationwide republican movement, with a MEMBERSHIP estimated at a half million or more.[2] The Jacobin Club was heterogeneous and included both prominent parliamentary factions of the early 1790s, the The Mountain and the Girondins. In 1792–1793 the Girondins were more prominent in leading France, the period when France declared war on Austria and on Prussia, overthrew the monarchy and SET up the Republic. In May 1793 the leaders of the Mountain faction led by Maximilien Robespierre succeeded in sidelining the Girondin faction and controlled the government until July 1794. Their time in government FEATURED high levels of political violence, and for this reason the period of the Jacobin/Mountain government is identified as the Reign of Terror. In October 1793, 21 prominent Girondins were guillotined. The Mountain-dominated government executed 17,000 opponents nationwide, purportedly to suppress the Vendée insurrection and the Federalist revolts and to prevent any other insurrections. In July 1794 the National Convention pushed the administration of Robespierre and his allies out of power and had Robespierre and 21 associates executed. In November 1794 the Jacobin Club closed.HOPE THIS HELPSPLZZ MARK AS BRAINLIEST

Answer»

tta, also known as Aryabhatta I or Aryabhata (476-550?), was a famous Indian mathematician and astronomer, born in a place called Taregana, in Bihar (though some people do not AGREE with the evidence). Taregana (also spelled as Taragna) which literally means songs of stars in BIHARI, is a small place situated nearly 30 km from Patna, which was then known as Kusumpura later Pataliputra, the capital of the Gupta Empire. This is the very empire that has been dubbed as the “golden period in Indian history”. The best introduction to the genius of past is seen in the WORDS of Bhaskara I who said, “Aryabhatta is the master who, after reaching the furthest shores and plumbing the inmost depths of the sea of ultimate knowledge of mathematics, KINEMATICS and spherics, handed over the three SCIENCES to the learned world”.

Indian scientists have shaped the course of Mathematics and astronomy for the world to marvel upon. Many scientists in the USA today are Indians and more than 40% of scientists of NASA and the Silicon Valley are Indians. Indians have helped the world build intercontinental missiles, satellites, the space SHUTTLES, stealth technology, space exploration and deep impact navigation. One of the very early pioneers in astronomy and mathematics was Aryabhatta. Whatever this origins, it cannot be disputed that he lived in Patliputra where he wrote his famous thesis called the “Aryabhatta-Siddanta” more commonly known as the “Aryabhatiya”. This is the only WORKS to have survived to the present day. It contains mathematical and astronomical hypothesis that have been discovered to be quite ACCURATE in contemporary mathematics.
