Q31 Hydroponicsnics isvery expensivemethod of ferning. Give twowhy it is expensivereasons Kaya |
|
Answer» Answer: yes Explanation: The premise of question is wrong, hydroponics is just another way of growing plants, it's not some super extraordinary way of growing plants. Hydroponics is very much cost effective and cheaper way for more produce in cold COUNTRIES like Canada, Britain, America and others where even a blade of GRASS cannot grow on the soil due to extreme cold climate. Hydroponics is also cost effective for desert countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, Oman and others where it's difficult to get water to drink and hardly available for cultivation of food. This process can save their water resources to grow food and reduce imports of food. It's expensive in an agrarian country like India where we have a TROPICAL climate with moderate water problems for farming and the climate is usually with high humidity and temperature. Normal farmers who have farmland expend 1% of inputs compared to that of a hydroponic farm in terms of setup and opex. So, for a farmer who is getting his crops from fertile lands in the country will not look for an ICU setup to grow plants as it's not viable and cannot be operated by him alone. Fertilizer must be in LIQUID form. It cost a bit more to liquefy whatever that is. That precious fertilizer are kept in expensive tunnel, POT, reservoir, with pump, timer, temp control and whatever. This reason can be avoided, but people might question if the system can still be called hydroponics. |
