Difference between real image and virtual image? |
|
Answer» Virtual and real images are the two types of images that can be created by light through the reflection, refraction or diffraction of rays.\tA real image can be displayed or projected onto a screen while a virtual image cannot. The best example for this is a cinema screen image versus your reflection in the mirror.\tThe two types of images are created by two different types of lens. Real images are produced by a convex lens and virtual images by a concave lens.\tWhen a real image is created the rays of light are converged into one focal point while for a virtual image the rays of light are diverged.\tA real image is always inverted . A virtual image is always erect .Real image is formed when the rays of light after reflection actually meet but Virtual image is formed when the rays of light after reflection appear to meet..Real image is inverted whereas Virtual image is erect..Real image can be formed on a screen but a Virtual image cannot be..Real image is formed in front of the mirror but a Virtual image is formed behind the mirror. |

Mechanism of acid rain |
| Answer» This is due to the presence of acidic oxide emissions in the atmosphere from industries and vehicles. However, a rainfall that has a pH value of less than 5.6 is considered as acid rain . It is formed when sulphur dioxides and nitrogen oxides, as gases or fine reacts with rain water.Local soil was generally alkaline; atmospheric aerosols, which are mixtures of stirred-up soil particles and anthropogenic pollution, were slightly acidic, cloud condensation nuclei, which initiate clouds at condensation level, had an average pH of ∼6. However, local clouds were very acidic (pH ∼4), indicating that further acidification takes place in clouds by adsorption of acidic gases, e.g., CO2, SO2, and NOx. We found that summer showers formed by coalescence of cloud droplets are likely to be as acidic as cloud water. If the snow crystals are initiated by freezing of cloud droplets and grow by vapor diffusion, then the constituents of cloud water are diluted and the snow is less acidic than cloud water. If snow grains (graupel) are formed by accretion of frozen cloud drops or by riming, the snow can be as acidic as cloud water. Both atmospheric chemical reactions and cloud microphysical processes are responsible for chemical variations in precipitation. | |

merits of modern preodic table |
| Answer» \tThis classification is based on the atomic number which is a more fundamental property of the elements.\tSince this classification is based on the atomic number and not on the atomic mass, the position of placing isotopes at one place is fully justified.\tIt is easy to remember and reproduce. The systematic grouping of elements into four blocks: s, p, d and f has made the study of the elements more simple.\tThe position of some elements which were misfit on the basis of atomic mass is now justified on the basis of atomic number. For example, argon precedes potassium because argon has atomic number 18 and potassium has 19.\tThe lanthanoids and actinoids which have properties different from other groups are placed separately at the bottom of the periodic table. | |

How twins born which are connect to each other |
| Answer» Conjoined twins are two babies who are born physically connected to each other. Conjoined twins develop when an early embryo only partially separates to form two individuals. Although two fetuses will develop from this embryo, they will remain physically connected -most often at the chest, abdomen or pelvis. Conjoined twins may also share one or more internal organs. | |

What is mendel\'s law of inheritance? |
| Answer» Genetic inheritance boils down to three simple concepts put forth by Gregor Mendel, a humble monk and part-time scientist who founded the entire discipline of genetics:\tSegregation: In diploid organisms, chromosome pairs (and their alleles) are separated into individual gametes (eggs or sperm) to transmit genetic information to offspring.\tDominance: A dominant allele completely masks the effects of a recessive allele. A dominant allele produces the same phenotype in heterozygotes and in homozygotes.\tIndependent assortment: Alleles on different chromosomes are distributed randomly to individual gametes. | |
