Discuss the relationship between theory and paradigm? in 500 words

Answer»

A theory is a contemplative and rational type of abstract or generalizing thinking, or the results of such thinking.[1] Depending on the context, the results might, for EXAMPLE, include generalized explanations of how nature works. The word has its roots in ancient Greek, but in modern use it has taken on several related meanings.

Theories guide the enterprise of finding facts rather than of reaching goals, and are neutral concerning alternatives among values.[2]:131 A theory can be a body of knowledge, which may or may not be associated with particular explanatory models. To theorize is to develop this body of knowledge.[3]:46

As ALREADY in Aristotle's definitions, theory is very often contrasted to "practice" (from Greek praxis, πρᾶξις) a Greek term for doing, which is opposed to theory because pure theory involves no doing apart from itself.[citation needed] A classical example of the distinction between "theoretical" and "practical" uses the discipline of medicine: medical theory involves trying to understand the causes and nature of health and sickness, while the practical side of medicine is trying to make people healthy. These two things are related but can be independent, because it is possible to research health and sickness without curing SPECIFIC patients, and it is possible to cure a patient without knowing how the cure worked.[a]

In modern science, the term "theory" refers to scientific theories, a well-confirmed type of explanation of nature, made in a way consistent with scientific method, and fulfilling the criteria required by modern science. Such theories are described in such a way that scientific TESTS should be able to provide empirical support for, or empirically contradict ("falsify") it. Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive form of scientific knowledge,[4] in contrast to more common uses of the word "theory" that imply that SOMETHING is unproven or speculative (which in formal terms is better characterized by the word hypothesis  Scientific theories are distinguished from hypotheses, which are individual empirically testable conjectures, and from scientific laws, which are descriptive accounts of how nature behaves under certain conditions.

How to make paper wallet

Answer»

Step 1: Hamburger Fold Squared

Neatly fold the 8.5"x11" sheet of PAPER in half. Open it, and fold the two flaps into the middle, so it is split in 4.

Step 2: Fold in 1/2 and Then Crease

Now fold the paper in 1/2 perpendicular to the other folds and crease from the folds you just made. notice how it has a natural tendency to stay closed, this is the basic wallet shape. now unfold.

Step 3: Cut

Cut along the black lines (viewed from the inside).

Step 4: Fold Flaps

Fold the 2nd and 4th flaps from the top inside on either side.

Step 5: Tape

Tape the lower cut (not the DIAMOND) so both sides are flush, your paper will not be flat anymore.

NOTE: this step can be done after step 7, it will be harder, but the wallet will lay flatter and be more square.

You can also PUT a small piece of tape at the top of the diamond (on the 2nd panel down)

As this is now the WALLETS weakest point

Now refold, like in step 2

Step 6: Crease Again

Neatly crease the wallet starting from the back to the edges. 2 flaps should be sticking out of each end of the wallet.

Step 7: Zipper Folding

Lock both ends separately.

Starting from the inside, and going to the outside, there will be a flap, then a pocket, then another flap, and another pocket. Let's call them 1,2,3,4 . Fold the inner flap (3) into the inner pocket (2), then fold the outer flap (1) over 2 and 3, and into the outer pocket (4). Do the same to the other end.

I recommend taping flap 3 inside the pocket to hold the wallet together better.

An you're done! Enjoy!

Answer»

Student hood is the most enjoyable period of any person's life provided he has the right perspective. For being student means having been given the opportunity to explore knowledge. Real enjoyment is not the temporary enjoyments of the bodily pleasures they are the ones related to mind, intellect, and intelligence. Knowledge wise people say is power. Some students who easily get distracted and fail to maintain their focus on the abstract and abstruse concept find it difficult to understand such concepts. Here such students MUST muster their entire focus and exert to concentrate on these challenges. At school a student also gets an opportunity to take part in extra and co curricular activities that help in the all round DEVELOPMENT of his personality. After school he goes back home with HOMEWORK assignments given to him by the teachers. After some relaxation he again gets busy in his studies too. At times he may get frustrated on account of the academics pressure on him. However he must remember that it is the golden period of his life in which he gets an opportunity to lay foundations for his future success and career. Pointer operation and arithmetic file operation

Answer»

A pointer in c is an address, which is a numeric VALUE. Therefore, you can perform arithmetic operations on a pointer just as you can on a numeric value. There are four arithmetic operators that can be used on pointers: ++, --, +, and -

To understand pointer arithmetic, let us consider that ptr is an integer pointer which points to the address 1000. Assuming 32-bit INTEGERS, let us perform the following arithmetic operation on the pointer −

ptr++

After the above operation, the ptr will point to the LOCATION 1004 because each time ptr is incremented, it will point to the next integer location which is 4 BYTES next to the CURRENT location. This operation will move the pointer to the next memory location without impacting the actual value at the memory location. If ptr points to a character whose address is 1000, then the above operation will point to the location 1001 because the next character will be available at 1001
