1900, 939, ____377,376 |
Answer» Answer: 498 Step-by-step explanation: The given sequence: 1900, 939, ......., 377, 376 To FIND, the missing number = ? The pattern follow: Previous number - 31 × 31(31^{2}31 2 ), Previous number - 21 × 21(21^{2}21 2 ), Previous number - 11 × 11(11^{2}11 2 ), Previous number - 1 × 1(1^{2}1 2 ) 931 = 1900 - 31^{2}31 2 = 1900 - 31 × 31 = 1900 - 961 = 939 ? = 939 - 21^{2}21 2 = 1900 - 21 × 21 = 939 - 441 = 498 377 = 498 - 11^{2}11 2 = 498 - 11 × 11 = 498 - 121 = 377 376 = 377 - 1^{2}1 2 = 377 - 1 × 1 = 377 - 1 = 376 ∴ The missing number = 498 Thus, the missing number is equal to 498. |

Essay on My Garden for class 9 |
Answer» My Garden A Garden is the best place in the house according to me. As it is the only place where a person can get relief from a busy life. Moreover having a garden in the house welcomes many health benefits. For instance, a garden has many plants that give oxygen.Furthermore, the smell of the flowers can refresh a person’s mind in the morning. However, in this era, people are not able to build a garden, because of the lack of space. And also some think that it is a waste of space. So the GARDENS are no more present in the house. On the other hand gardens in the houses are necessary. In order to lead a peaceful life, a garden plays a major role. My Garden My garden contains different types of plants. For instance, it has different flowers such as roses, sunflowers, Lilies, daisies. These flowers are the easiest to grow and flourish the environment with their beautiful smells. Moreover, the colors of these flowers make a garden look beautiful. Further, my garden has different vegetables growing in them. For EXAMPLE vegetables like tomato, carrots, sweet potato, cauliflower, bell pepper, etc. These are the easiest to grow. Apart from this, they have various health benefits. Furthermore, this ensures that the vegetables are fresh and free from any chemicals. The garden has grass all over the area. As a result, this MAKES it the best place for any exercise. Furthermore, it has a soft ground where children can play different sports. This ensures that they do not get hurt even if they fall down while playing. Further, my garden has a swing too which is my favorite. Because I can spend hours swinging on it and do not get bored. Sometimes I spend my entire day in the garden completing all my tasks there. But this is only possible WHENEVER I have a holiday. The Gardener As he loves taking care of the garden. Moreover, he is the only person who has set up the entire. My father is a nature lover. Therefore he takes out time from his busy schedule and takes care of the garden. He always tries new things in the garden. For instance last week he brought some new varieties of flowers. Some of them were climbers, bulbs, and perennials. As a result, my garden is now full of flowers and is the brightest of all. Apart from my father, there is another person whom my father has appointed to take care of the garden. Because he has to stay away from the house so the gardener comes at that time. Furthermore, the work of grooming and cutting the plants is the duty of the gardener. Birds in My Garden Every day in the morning I can hear the chirping of many birds. Birds like sparrow, pigeon and Indian myna come to wake us up in the morning. Moreover, the peacock also comes occasionally in the garden. At that time the whole family gathers together to have a look at the beautiful feathers. In CONCLUSION, the time spent in my garden is the most beautiful garden in the entire day. Answer» Answer: the lockdown has helped the country in one of the most needy way, and has led to a significant reduction in pollution in the country with 91 cities recording air quality in the ‘good’ and ‘satisfactory’ category, since past few days. According to a report by CENTRAL Pollution CONTROL Board (CPCB), since the lockdown was imposed, the air quality all around the country has shown drastic improvement due to eradication of local POLLUTANTS generated due to construction activities and vehicular traffic among others. “The major sectors contributing to air pollution are transport, industries, power plants, construction activities, biomass burning, road DUST resuspension and residential activities. In addition, certain activities such as operation of DG sets, restaurant, landfill fires, etc. Also contribute to air pollution,” the pollution watchdog said, as reported by news agency PTI. If we compare the Air quality data of first three months of 2020 with that of 2019, the CPCB said that the quality of air in India’s major industrial cities has improved by over 60 per cent, according to the data compiled by ETEnergyworld. List at least 10 idioms and phrases in book first flight of class 10 |
Answer» Explanation: Hit the hay.” “Sorry, guys, I have to hit the hay now!” At first, it seems like the person saying this really wants to punch some hay. But it really just means that they’re really tired and want to go to sleep. up in the air idiom.png 2. “Up in the air” “Hey, did you ever figure out those PLANS?” “No, they’re still up in the air for now. We’ll figure everything out later.” Can plans actually be FLOATING high in the sky? Theoretically, they could--if you wrote them down and threw them up! But this idiom really means that the situation being planned is still undecided, and that everything is still uncertain/unsure. back-stabbing-friends-idiom.jpg 3. “Stabbed in the back” “I don’t want to be Hayley’s friend anymore, she stabbed me in the back!” Literally stabbing someone in the back could bring someone to jail! That’s definitely not what this idiom means. Being stabbed in the back means that you’ve been betrayed by someone who you thought you could trust. takes 2 to tango.jpg 4. “Takes two to tango” “David isn’t the only guilty one here! After all, it takes two to tango.” It literally does take two to tango--you can’t dance the tango unless you have a partner. But this idiom means that if there’s a suspicious situation, then there’s more than one culprit. They couldn’t have done it by themselves. kill-two-birds-with-one-stone.jpg 5. “Kill two birds with one stone.” “Why not go to the post office on your way to the mall and kill two birds with one stone?” Don’t worry, we’re not actually killing any birds here! When you kill two birds with one stone, a single action knocks out two tasks or responsibilities--accomplish two different things at the same time. (In this case, posting a letter and doing some shopping in one trip.) piece of cake.jpg 6. “Piece of cake” “Ha, that assignment was really a piece of cake!” No, the professor didn’t give them a slice of cake to EAT! When something is a piece of cake, it’s so simple that it’s as easy as eating one. Costs an arm and a leg.jpg 7. “Costs an arm and a leg” “Matt, I really want that car, but it costs an arm and a leg. I don’t think I should get it for now.” When something costs an arm and a leg, you won’t literally have to cut off your arm and leg to buy it. It just means that it costs a LOT of money, so it would be as painful (for your wallet) as cutting off an arm and a leg to pay for it! break a leg idiom.jpg 8. “Break a leg” “Hey, don’t you have a recital today? Break a leg!” You might be scared when you hear this idiom--did they really just tell someone to break their leg? When someone uses this idiom, they’re actually wishing the person good luck. See how confusing idioms can be? This means the total opposite of what it seems to mean! rule-of-thumb-idiom.jpg 9. “Rule of thumb” “As a rule of thumb, you should usually pay for your date’s dinner, too.” A rule of thumb is a “rule” that’s not totally precise. It’s based off common experience and common sense. They aren’t based on science or research! Blow off steam.jpg 10. “Blow off steam” “Hey, I’m feeling pretty angry right now. I’m going to go blow off some steam.” To blow off some steam isn’t to stand above a tea kettle and huff and puff! When you’re feeling angry or upset, and want to do something to relieve those emotions, then you’re blowing off steam--doing something or TAKING a break to help get rid of the stress. please follow me I will give your answer on time it's my promise to you |

Explain all types of operating systems?Explain in brief?Don't copy from any website or google |
Answer» Answer: Following are some of the most widely used types of Operating system. Simple Batch System Multiprogramming Batch System Multiprocessor System Desktop System Distributed Operating System Clustered System Real Time Operating System Handheld System Simple Batch Systems In this type of system, there is no direct interaction between user and the computer. The user has to submit a job (written on cards or tape) to a computer operator. Then computer operator places a batch of several jobs on an input device. Jobs are batched together by type of languages and requirement. Then a special program, the monitor, manages the execution of each program in the batch. The monitor is always in the main memory and available for execution. Multiprogramming Batch Systems In this the operating system picks up and begins to execute one of the jobs from memory. Once this job needs an I/O operation operating system switches to another job (CPU and OS always busy). Jobs in the memory are always less than the number of jobs on disk(Job Pool). If several jobs are ready to run at the same time, then the system chooses which one to run through the process of CPU Scheduling. In Non-multiprogrammed system, there are moments when CPU sits idle and does not do any work. In Multiprogramming system, CPU will never be idle and keeps on processing. Time Sharing Systems are very similar to Multiprogramming batch systems. In fact time sharing systems are an extension of multiprogramming systems. In Time sharing systems the PRIME focus is on minimizing the response time, while in multiprogramming the prime focus is to maximize the CPU usage. Multiprocessor Systems A Multiprocessor system consists of several processors that share a common physical memory. Multiprocessor system provides higher computing power and speed. In multiprocessor system all processors operate under single operating system. Multiplicity of the processors and how they do act together are transparent to the others. Desktop Systems Earlier, CPUs and PCs lacked the features needed to protect an operating system from user programs. PC operating systems therefore were neither multiuser nor multitasking. However, the goals of these operating systems have changed with time; instead of maximizing CPU and peripheral utilization, the systems opt for maximizing user convenience and responsiveness. These systems are CALLED Desktop Systems and include PCs running Microsoft Windows and the Apple Macintosh. Operating systems for these computers have benefited in several WAYS from the development of operating systems for mainframes. Microcomputers were IMMEDIATELY able to adopt some of the technology developed for larger operating systems. On the other hand, the hardware costs for microcomputers are sufficiently low that individuals have sole use of the computer, and CPU utilization is no longer a prime concern. Thus, some of the design decisions made in operating systems for mainframes may not be appropriate for smaller systems. Distributed Operating System The motivation behind developing distributed operating systems is the availability of powerful and inexpensive microprocessors and advances in communication technology. These advancements in technology have made it possible to design and develop distributed systems comprising of many computers that are inter connected by communication networks. The main benefit of distributed systems is its low price/performance ratio. Clustered Systems Like parallel systems, clustered systems gather together multiple CPUs to accomplish computational work. Clustered systems differ from parallel systems, however, in that they are composed of two or more individual systems coupled together. The definition of the term clustered is not concrete; the general accepted definition is that clustered computers share storage and are closely linked via LAN networking. Clustering is usually performed to provide high availability. Real Time Operating System It is defined as an operating system known to give maximum time for each of the critical operations that it performs, like OS calls and interrupt handling. The Real-Time Operating system which guarantees the maximum time for critical operations and complete them on time are referred to as Hard Real-Time Operating Systems. While the real-time operating systems that can only guarantee a maximum of the time, i.e. the critical task will get priority over other tasks, but no assurity of completeing it in a defined time. These systems are referred to as Soft Real-Time Operating Systems. Handheld Systems Handheld systems include Personal Digital Assistants(PDAs), such as Palm-Pilots or Cellular Telephones with connectivity to a NETWORK such as the Internet. They are usually of limited size due to which most handheld devices have a small amount of memory, include slow processors, and feature small display screens.

Tricki was a victim of over pampering andoverindulgence. Comment. |
Answer» • Tricki was a fat dog, the pet of Mrs. PUMPHREY. He became listless and seemed to have no energy and fell ill. So, Mrs. Pumphrey called the veterinary surgeon, Dr. Herriot for help. Dr. Herriot took Tricki to his surgery. He KEPT an eye on him for two DAYS and gave him no food but plenty of water. • At the end of the second day, he started showing some interest in his surroundings and on the third day, began to whimper (cry) on the sound of dogs. During his stay at the surgery, Mrs. Pumphrey started to bring round fresh eggs to a dozen at a time. She also sent bottles of wine and brandy for Tricki's health. But that was consumed by Mr. Herriot and his partners. Hence, Herriot enjoyed the stay of Tricki. • He did not want to keep Tricki for a longer time because he felt concerned for Mrs. Pumphrey. He did not want to SEPARATE the pet from his owner. He could understand Mrs. Pumphrey's concern for the little dog. So he returned him back. |

Answer» Explanation: Character sketch of Lencho is as FOLLOWS : Lencho was a farmer. He was not so poor and not so rich farmer. He was having a great faith in God. This we CAME to know from his letter addressed to God. He did so for the compensation of his crops. Actually the hail stones destroyed his crops and he thought that now his family would starve THROUGHOUT the WHOLE year. But he was very religious person, so he decided to ASK the God for his help. In his letter to God he asked the God for 100 pesos. But his letter was not reached to God. It were the post office employees who sent the 70 pesos for help. And Lencho called the post office employees as “a bunch of crooks”. While they helped him. Because of this we can say that Lencho was a foolish person too (in the sense of innocence).
