Short paragraph on my ambition in life

Answer»

Almost every individual would have an ambition in life. Ambition leads us to a definite aim in life, which would enable us to be more focused and help us to STRIVE to reach that goal we have in our selves. Ambitions would differ from PERSON to person. Some may want to be social servants, while others to be into arts and crafts and so on.

It all depends on one`s choice and interests as to what one would like to become in life when they reach a particular stage.

My ambition in life is to join the army. I would love myself to be an army officer. I know it is not very easy, but serving the nations and its people is my dream. I have read in many books and seen in many movies about the life of an army officer and I understand that it is very very tough to become one, but I love my country and would love to serve and protect the people of my country. It is the army and navy officers who guard us day and night and they are the ones who help us to STAY out of danger when a war or crises occurs. Though they are AWAY from their families, they make sure of the safety of the people of the nation. They sacrifice so many things in their lives to keep an eye and protect the people of a country.

I would love to be one and serve my country and protect the people of my nation. With many wars and fights occurring these days, I understand that things are very tough, but yet I would love to be a part of the GREAT Indian Army and contribute whatever I could to safeguard my nation and its people from all the dangers that they might face. Being in the army is an honor and pride and I am proud of myself to say that I would like to join the army and serve the country.

What is encroachment of water bodies

Answer» WATER bodies and wetlands, usually crucial to the ecology of any region, are fast shrinking in our State owing firstly to blatant encroachment and secondly to carelessness about proper management of water bodies, rain water etc. A PIL is pending before the Division Bench of the High Court in which the petitioner has DEMANDED immediate vacation of illegal encroachment of water bodies leading to damage to ecology and environment. In this connection the Court had ASKED the Government to ensure that illegal encroachment is vacated and water bodies are restored to their pristine purity.
The State authorities have failed to comply with the orders of the court. It has taken no step in the direction of vacating encroachments. There seems POLITICAL intervention or selfish aggrandizement in not complying with the orders of the court. Water bodies and wetlands, particularly the well known wetlands of Gharana in Jammu and Hokarsar in Kashmir have been excellent bird sanctuaries since long years. The Siberian birds usually spend the WINTER months in these two wetlands both of which have been under severe pressure of encroachment and logging up of water channels. Of late it has been observed that the number of birds visiting these traditional sanctuaries is decreasing   because of paucity of feed,

REFORESTATION TAKES PLACE NATURALLY ? WHY ?

Answer» REFORESTATION is the natural or intentional restocking of existing forests and woodlands(forestation) that have been depleted, usually through deforestation.[1] Reforestation can be used to rectify or improve the QUALITY of human life by soaking up pollution and dust from the air, rebuild natural habitats and ECOSYSTEMS, MITIGATE global warming since forests facilitate biosequestration of atmospheric carbon DIOXIDE,[2] and harvest for resources, particularly timber, but also non-timber forest products.

A similar concept, afforestation, another type of forestation, refers to the process of restoring and recreating areas of woodlandsor forests that may have existed long ago but were deforested or otherwise removed at some point in the past or lacked it naturally (e.g., natural grasslands). Sometimes the term "re-afforestation" is used to distinguish between the original forest cover and the later re-growth of forest to an area. Special tools, e.g. tree planting bars, are used to make planting of trees easier and faster.

What skils are used to play football

Answer»

Power

Skilled soccer playing requires you to sprint, jump and maneuver around the field using explosive power. To build power, do plyometrics, also called jump training. Do at least eight reps of each plyometric exercise, which may include squat jumps, box jumps, scissor jumps, lateral jumps and depth jumps. For example, do lateral jumps by jumping explosively directly to your side over a cone as high as you can. Immediately jump back to your first position, touching the ground for as SHORT a time as possible.

Speed and Agility

Agility means being able to maneuver QUICKLY while maintaining control and form. Speed and agility are skills that go hand-in-hand in soccer as you weave through players with the ball. High knee drills strengthen your hip flexors and help with your quickness. Run between two cones lifting your knees to your chest as fast as possible. Run uphill to increase your stride length and do short sprint intervals to quicken your leg turnover, or stride frequency. Sprint for 10-second intervals at your maximum intensity. Use a ladder and various obstacles to create an obstacle course requiring fast footwork. Time yourself and make the course harder when you improve.

Dribbling and Passing

Dribbling and passing are skills you need to be able to move the ball quickly across the field and pass it to teammates who are in better position than you. To practice passing, kick the ball with the inside of your foot against a wall so that the ball returns to you, or pass back and forth with a teammate. Pass at both short and long distances, using both your RIGHT and left foot. Dribble the ball across the field as fast as possible, keeping the ball close to your feet. Drills with at least one teammate involving dribbling and passing across the field will most EFFECTIVELY prepare you for passing and dribbling in a game.

Shielding, Tackling and Trapping

Shielding is protecting the ball from opponents while you pass or shoot it. Watching a professional game can help you learn the technique of using your body as a shield between an opposing player and the ball. Tackling is another defensive skill used to keep the other player from getting the ball when you're receiving, trapping or shielding it. Learn the rules of player-opponent contact and how you can best use your feet and body to block your opponent's access to the ball. Practice shielding and tackling playing one-on-one soccer. Learn to trap the ball when it comes to you in a game using your foot, thighs, chest and head. You're allowed to touch the ball with these body parts and can use them to slow down the ball and get it into your control. Practice trapping by having someone throw or kick the ball toward you in the air.

Shooting and Goalkeeping

To practice shooting, kick the ball against a wall or into the goal, alternating both feet from different distances. It's important you can shoot with both feet because in a game one foot may be in a better position than the other. Do the rotational lunge and reach drill to improve at goalkeeping. Step out into a lunge with your front leg at a 90-degree angle with your arms straight overhead. Bend forward at the hips to touch your chest to your front thigh, reaching through your hands. Use your LEGS to push yourself back to a standing position. Do both legs. After lunging straight in front of you, try standing in front of a goalpost and lunging in different directions. Then, practice catching the ball to improve your goalkeeping skills by having a teammate shoot the ball toward the goal.

"Forests are essential for maintaining an ecological balance." Justify the statement with suitable arguments.

Answer»

The forests’ ROLE exceeds their direct benefit to the national economy, to constitute the indirect benefits as well, which are reaching the ecological balance. Despite the difficulty of estimating or evaluating these benefits physically, but their role is quite clear regarding building a national economy, and this is DUE to their association and effective contribution to the increase of agricultural production and its sustainability, along with accomplishing food security on the long term. Forest are not just vast areas of land where only trees prevail, but they are a complex Eco-system, made of a group of productive organisms (green plants), and a RANGE of consumer objects which could increase or decrease depending on the DENSITY and diversity of vegetation, in addition to a range of degenerative objects, which are in constant interaction with the non-living remains (withered branches and leaves that fall on the ground). They are considered one of the significant renewable natural resources, due to their ability in achieving both environmental and economic balance at once. Despite all, FORESTRY development has faced, and is still facing many problems, because investment in the field of forests is a long-term investment, which does not attract investors seeking a quick profit. In general, dry areas suffer of the shortage of renewable natural resources (water resources, natural vegetation), and thus a shortage of food, feed and fuel, forcing citizens to do the wrong practices in the exploitation of their land and to cut their forests trees, causing environmental degradation and desertification.
