How did the changes in temperature lead to evolution of early man?

Answer»

answer !

All organisms encounter some amount of environmental change. Some changes occur over a short time, and may be cyclical, such as daily or seasonal variations in the amount of temperature, LIGHT, and precipitation. On LONGER time scales, hominins experienced large-scale shifts in temperature and precipitation that, in turn, caused vast changes in vegetation – shifts from grasslands and shrub lands to woodlands and forests, and also from cold to warm climates. Hominin environments were also altered by TECTONICS – earthquakes and uplift, such as the rise in elevation of the Tibetan Plateau, which changed rainfall patterns in northern China and altered the TOPOGRAPHY of a wide region. Tectonic activity can change the location and SIZE of lakes and rivers.

What was the main result of the battle of horseshoe bend

Answer»

Answer:

On the morning of March 27, 1814, in what is now Tallapoosa County, Gen. Andrew Jackson and an army consisting of Tennessee militia, United States regulars, and Cherokee and Lower Creek allies attacked Chief Menawa and his Upper Creek, or RED Stick, warriors fortified in the Horseshoe Bend of the Tallapoosa River. Facing overwhelming odds, the Red Sticks fought bravely yet ultimately lost the battle. More than 800 Upper Creek warriors died at Horseshoe Bend defending their homeland. This was the final battle of the Creek War of 1813-14. The victory at Horseshoe Bend brought Andrew Jackson national attention and helped elect him president in 1828. In treaty signed after the battle, known as the Treaty of Fort Jackson, the Creeks ceded more than 21 million acres of land to the United States.

Long before the Battle of Horseshoe Bend, the Creeks (also known as Muskogee) people lived in a loose confederation of towns along the rivers of west-central Georgia and east-central Alabama. Anglo-American settlers divided the Creek towns geographically into two groups: the Lower Towns along the Chattahoochee, Flint, and Ocmulgee Rivers; and the Upper Towns along the Tallapoosa, Coosa, and Alabama Rivers. In 1811, Shawnee military leader Tecumseh visited the southeastern tribes hoping to encourage them to return to their ancient traditions as WELL as drive the Americans from their ancestral lands. Many individuals in the Upper Creek Towns responded favorably to Tecumseh. When war broke out between the United States and Great Britain in 1812, a few Creek warriors joined Tecumseh and the BRITISH in fighting the Americans. The War of 1812 in turn brought on the Creek War of 1813-14, which began as a civil war between Creeks in both the Upper and Lower towns friendly to the United States and a faction in the Upper Towns called the Red Sticks, hostile towards the Americans. Many scholars believe that the Red Sticks TOOK their name from their red-painted war clubs.

Explain the impact of colonial rule on the Indian textile industry ?? Of class 10 history ch the age of industrialization

Answer»

Explanation:

Impact of British rule :

By the early 1800s cloth made in British factories was cheaper than cloth made in India. The Indian cloth industry was gradually destroyed. British rule did not destroy all Indian industries. British rule also brought many job opportunities (though not usually senior jobs) for educated Indians in the government.

impact of decline of textile industry in India :

Thus, it led to economic DEPRIVATION, unemployment , aggravated economic problems of the weavers, i. India's local industries, handicrafts, weavers had to face unequal competition, thus, the demand for their goods which were handmade and expensive fell

Three easy reasons for the decline of textile industry in India are as follows :-

1) After the industrial revolution, Britain started producing machine made textiles which were often of better quality and cheaper than Indian textiles.

2) Textiles from India had high demands in EUROPE. So British passed strict laws and banned the import of textiles in Britain.

3) Also, India had no SUPPORT from the Colonial British Government.

In Northern Europe, the Neolithic lasted until about 1700 BC, while in China it extended until 1200 BC. Other parts of the world (including the Americas and OCEANIA) remained broadly in the Neolithic STAGE of development until European contact.[2]

45.

What does liberalism stands for since the French revolution

Answer»

Answer:

Liberalism, the belief in freedom, equality, democracy and human rights, is historically associated with thinkers such as John Locke and Montesquieu. It is a political movement which spans the better part of the last four centuries, though the use of the word "liberalism" to refer to a specific political doctrine did not occur until the 19th century. The Glorious Revolution of 1688 in England laid the foundations for the development of the modern liberal state by constitutionally limiting the power of the monarch, affirming parliamentary supremacy, passing the Bill of Rights and establishing the principle of "consent of the governed". The 1776 Declaration of Independence of the United STATES founded the nascent republic on liberal principles without the encumbrance of hereditary aristocracy—the declaration stated that "all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, among these life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness",[1] echoing John Locke's phrase "life, liberty, and property". A few years later, the French Revolution overthrew the hereditary aristocracy, with the slogan "liberty, equality, fraternity" and was the first state in history to grant universal male suffrage. The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, first codified in 1789 in France, is a foundational document of both liberalism and human rights. The intellectual progress of the Enlightenment, which questioned old traditions about societies and governments, eventually coalesced into powerful revolutionary movements that toppled what the French called the Ancien Régime, the belief in absolute monarchy and established religion, especially in Europe, Latin America and North America.

William Henry of Orange in the Glorious Revolution, Thomas Jefferson in the American Revolution and Lafayette in the French Revolution used liberal philosophy to justify the armed overthrow of what they SAW as tyrannical rule. Liberalism STARTED to spread rapidly especially after the French Revolution. The 19th century saw liberal governments established in nations across Europe, South America and North America.[2] In this period, the dominant ideological opponent of classical liberalism was conservatism, but liberalism later survived MAJOR ideological challenges from new opponents, such as fascism and communism. Liberal government often adopted the ECONOMIC beliefs espoused by Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill and others, which broadly emphasized the importance of free markets and laissez-faire governance, with a minimum of interference in trade.
