Answer» जलाल उद्दीन मोहम्मद अकबर (उर्दू: جلال الدین محمد اکبر) (१५ अक्तूबर, १५४२-२७ अक्तूबर, १६०५)[3] तैमूरी वंशावली के मुगल वंश का तीसरा शासक था।[4] अकबर को अकबर-ऐ-आज़म (अर्थात अकबर महान), शहंशाह अकबर, महाबली शहंशाह के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।[1][2][5] सम्राट अकबर मुगल साम्राज्य के संस्थापक जहीरुद्दीन मुहम्मद बाबर का पौत्र और नासिरुद्दीन हुमायूं एवं हमीदा बानो का पुत्र था। बाबर का वंश तैमूर और मंगोल नेता चंगेज खां से संबंधित था अर्थात उसके वंशज तैमूर लंग के खानदान से थे और मातृपक्ष का संबंध चंगेज खां से था।[3] अकबर के शासन के अंत तक १६०५ में मुगल साम्राज्य में उत्तरी और मध्य भारत के अधिकाश भाग सम्मिलित थे और उस समय के सर्वाधिक शक्तिशाली साम्राज्यों में से एक था।[6] बादशाहों में अकबर ही एक ऐसा बादशाह था, जिसे हिन्दू मुस्लिम दोनों वर्गों का बराबर प्यार और सम्मान मिला। उसने हिन्दू-मुस्लिम संप्रदायों के बीच की दूरियां कम करने के लिए दीन-ए-इलाही नामक धर्म की स्थापना की।[3] उसका दरबार सबके लिए हर समय खुला रहता था। उसके दरबार में मुस्लिम सरदारों की अपेक्षा हिन्दू सरदार अधिक थे। अकबर ने हिन्दुओं पर लगने वाला जज़िया ही नहीं समाप्त किया, बल्कि ऐसे अनेक कार्य किए जिनके कारण हिन्दू और मुस्लिम दोनों उसके प्रशंसक बने।[7] अकबर मात्र तेरह वर्ष की आयु में अपने पिता नसीरुद्दीन मुहम्मद हुमायुं की मृत्यु उपरांत दिल्ली की राजगद्दी पर बैठा था।[8] अपने शासन काल में उसने शक्तिशाली पश्तून वंशज शेरशाह सूरी के आक्रमण बिल्कुल बंद करवा दिये थे, साथ ही पानीपत के द्वितीय युद्ध में नवघोषित हिन्दू राजा हेमू को पराजित किया था।[9][10] अपने साम्राज्य के गठन करने और उत्तरी और मध्य भारत के सभी क्षेत्रों को एकछत्र अधिकार में लाने में अकबर को दो दशक लग गये थे। उसका प्रभाव लगभग पूरे भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप पर था और इस क्षेत्र के एक बड़े भूभाग पर सम्राट के रूप में उसने शासन किया। सम्राट के रूप में अकबर ने शक्तिशाली और बहुल हिन्दू राजपूत राजाओं से राजनयिक संबंध बनाये और उनके यहाँ विवाह भी किये।[9][11] |
