Answer»

The law-making POWERS of the Union are with the Union Parliament. It is a bicameral legislature with the House of the People (Lok Sabha) as the Lower House and the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) as the UPPER House. Legally the law-making powers are exercised by the President-in-Parliament. All BILLS are introduced and passed by the Parliament in the NAME of President and these become laws when signed by him. However, the President is not a member of either House.

Is bhangarh fort haunted?

Answer»

No it's not ACTUALLY. There are many stories about the fort . but I don't believe in such things. The main reason is the PRESENCE of negative energy in excess amount in some parts of the fort. And due to this negative energy (lack of oxygen) our brains makes some un identical figures . which we call ghosts .... so the increase in the amount of negative energy is mainly in the night TIME as compared to the day. That is why there are such sign boards that denys the entry of people at night..

That's all

What lead to the downfall of tipu sultan?

Answer»

Tipu Sultan's death can be attributed to Mir Sadiq's betrayal, who was one of Tipu's most trusted aide.

When the 4th Anglo Mysore war broke off, the british who allied with the Marathas and Nizams attacked Srirangapatna. According to WIKIPEDIA Mir Sadiq a general in Tipu's army had turned a traitor as he was lured by the British.

Mir Sadiq pulled a bigger chunk of the Mysorean army during the most crucial part of the SIEGE from the battlefield to collect their salaries. This weakened the defence and led to a breach in the fort of Srirangapatna.

The news reached Tipu who was engaged in another FRONT. He rushed to the breached wall, but it was too late. Wikipedia states in Fourth Anglo-Mysore War article that, Tipu was shot and killed in the evening of 4th May 1799.

Since, it was dusk the sunlight had faded away. The British were unsure of Tipu's death. They DISPATCHED a party of men to search the battlefield for Tipu's body, which was eventually found. A HISTORY note mentions that, the arrival of royal mourners at Tipu's palace confirmed the fact for the British, who intensified their search for the body.

The boundary between these two was the region surrounding the cities of Gurgan and Qumis (modern Damghan). Explain the concept of globalization as a national policy with particular reference to the policy initiative taken by government of india since 1991

Answer»

The New Industrial Policy of 1991 comes at the center of economic REFORMS that launched during the early1990s. All the later REFORM measures were derived out of the new industrial policy. The Policy has brought COMPREHENSIVE changes in economic regulation in the country. As the namesuggests, these reform measures were made in different areas related to the industrial sector. As part of the policy, the role of publicsector has been redefined. A dedicated reform policy for the public sector including the disinvestment programme were launched under the NIP 1991. Private sector has given welcome in major industries that werepreviously reserved for the public sector.Similarly, foreign investment has given welcome under the policy. But the most important reform measure of the new industrial policy was that it ended the PRACTICE of industrial licensing in India. Industrial licensing represented red tapism.Because of the large scale changes, the Industrial Policy of 1991 or the new industrial policy represents a major change from the early policy of 1956.The new policy contained policy DIRECTIONS for reforms and thus for LPG (Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation). It enlarged the scope of private sector participation to almost all industrial sectors except three (modified). Simultaneously, the policy has given welcome to foreign investment and foreign technology. Since 1991, the country’s policy on foreign investment is gradually evolving through the introduction of liberalization measures in a phasewise manner.Perhaps, the most welcome change under the new industrial policy was the abolition of the practice of industrial licensing. The1991 policy has limited industrial licensing to less than fifteen sectors. It means that to start an industry, one has to go for license and waiting only in the case ofthese few selected industries. This has ended the era of license raj or red tapism in the country. The 1991 industrial policy contained the root of the liberalization, privatization and globalization drive made in the country in the later period. The policy has brought changes in the following aspects of industrial regulation:1. Industrial delicensing2. Deregulation of the industrial sector3. Public sector policy (dereservation and reform of PSEs)4. Abolition of MRTP Act5. Foreign investment policy and foreign technology policy.
