Explain the consequences of emergence of nation state in europe. |
Answer» A STATE of emergency is a situation in which a government is empowered to perform actions or impose policies that it would normally not be permitted to undertake. A government can declare such a state during a natural disaster, civil UNREST, armed conflict, MEDICAL pandemic or epidemic or other biosecurity risk. Such declarations alert citizens to change their normal behavior and ORDERS government agencies to implement emergency PLANS. Justitium is its equivalent in Roman law—a concept in which the senate could put forward a final decree (senatus consultum ultimum) that was not subject to dispute.States of emergency can also be used as a rationale or pretext for suspending rights and freedoms guaranteed under a country's constitution or basic law, sometimes through martial law or revoking habeas corpus. The procedure for and legality of doing so vary by country.Article 15 of European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) allows its 47 member countries to declare a state of emergency "in times of war or other public emergency threatening the life of the nation." Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Moldova and Romania have declared state of emergency under Article 15.The clause does not specify the time limits of the state of emergency and does not introduce measures governments can adopt. Latvia has prohibited exports of medicines needed during its state of emergency while Armenia has banned public events and mass gathering with over 20 people.Italy and Spain have not invoked the ECHR mechanism but instead declared state of emergency based their own constitutions. According to their laws, the declaration must be subject to review by its legislature. Spain has to renew the state of emergency every 15 days. Discuss the background against which Jesus Christ emerged as the Preacher of the masses |
Answer» Most scholars who study the historical Jesus and early Christianity believe that the canonical gospels and the life of Jesus must be viewed within their historical and CULTURAL context, rather than purely in terms of Christian orthodoxy. They look at Second Temple Judaism, the tensions, trends, and changes in the region under the influence of Hellenism and the Roman occupation, and the Jewish factions of the time, SEEING Jesus as a Jew in this environment; and the written New Testament as arising from a period of oral gospel traditions after his death. In 64 BCE, the already partially Hellenized Hasmonean Kingdom of Judea was incorporated into the Roman Republic as a client kingdom when Pompey the Great conquered Jerusalem. The Romans treated Judea as a valued CROSSROADS to trading territories, and as a buffer state against the Parthian Empire. Direct rule was imposed in 6 CE, with the formation of the province of Judea. Roman prefects were appointed to maintain ORDER through a political appointee, the High Priest. After the uprising by Judas the Galilean and before Pontius Pilate (26 CE), in general, Roman Judea was troubled but self-managed. Occasional riots, sporadic rebellions, and violent resistance were an ongoing risk.Throughout the third quarter of the first century, the conflict between the Jews and the Romans gave rise to increasing tensions. Before the end of the third quarter of the first century, these tensions culminated with the first Jewish-Roman War and the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. This war effectively flattened Jerusalem, and the city was LATER rebuilt as the Roman colony of Aelia Capitolina, in which Jews were forbidden to live.0.00 votesTHANKS 1Comments ReportThe Brain HelperNot sure about the answer?SEE NEXT ANSWERSNewest QuestionsWho were cought in the frenzy of fear Could you please help me. how to write a newspaper about the conditions in factories for children? please help meWho created the first image of bharat mata and what changes came in it with the passage of time.Where did jesus christ born?Write about the Invasion of shahists Khan How to write a newspaper about the conditions in factories for childrenWhat is the main features of Jallianwala baghWho is the president of India?Who was referred as babashebList any two of the great bath characteristics featuresAsk your questionAbout usAbout usCareersContactBlogFAQTerms of UseHow do I receive points?Privacy policyResponsible disclosure programBrainly.inGet the Brainly AppDownload Android AppThis site is using cookies under cookie policy. Explain the incident which was Gandhiji to call the non cooperation Movement in February 1922 explain the reason |
Answer» Explanation:(a) In 1922 the Chauri Chaura INCIDENT where 22-23 policemen died due to violent class between people and police disheartened Gandhiji. He did not tolerate violence at any cost. Thus he called off Non-Cooperation Movement. (b) The effects of Non-Cooperation Movement on the economic FRONT were immense. They were (i) Foreign goods were boycotted, liquor shops picketed and foreign clothes were burnt hugely. (ii) The import of foreign clothes halved between 1921 and 1922, its value dropping from 102 more to 57 crore rupees. (iii) In many areas, TRADERS and merchants refused to trade in foreign goods and sometimes even they refused to finance foreign trade. (IV) As the boycott movement spread, people used only Indian clothes and began to discard foreign clothes. As a result, production of Indian textile mills and handloom went up largely. (c) Simon Commission arrived in India in 1928. It was greeted with black flags and slogans like ‘Simon Go Back’. Both CONGRESS and Muslim League unitedly protested against it. In an effort to pacify them Lord Irwin announced in October 1929, a vague offer of ‘dominion status’ for India in an unspecified future and Round Table Conference to discuss a future constitution. This did not satisfied the Congress leader. This Commission was boycotted by the Indian people as it did not include any Indian member in it . Also the commission did not give any hope of ' Swaraj of the Indians. |
