Explain the term democratic in the context of the Indian constitution |
Answer» Democratic Republic:A republic is a country where the head of the state (the President in our case) is elected to a term of office and not appointed to life based on birthright. A democracy is a political system where power rests with the people. People vote for leaders, who in turn are responsible for framing of policies. In India, we have two houses VIZ Lok Sabha or lower house, whose members directly GET elected by the people and Rajya Sabha or upper house, whose members get elected by members of the Legislative Assembly of individual states. The institution of Rajya Sabha was created to ensure that states get enough REPRESENTATION and also to act as elders and make valuable suggestions to members of the Lok Sabha. In the recent years, we have witnessed many legislations getting stuck in the upper house due to petty politics. In other words, the members who are directly elected by the people are UNABLE to pass a single bill in the parliament. This has led to a lot of people (including me) questioning the relevance of the Rajya Sabha today. In the Lok Sabha, we have members belonging to various state SPECIFIC parties like TMC, AIADMK, BJD and SP. So the states do get enough representation in the Lok Sabha. Also, the members of the Rajya Sabha certainly do not act like ‘elders’. The behavior of some of the members like rushing to the well of the house needlessly and raising slogans is absolutely disgusting, to put it mildly. A lot of the members of the upper house are the ones who fund political parties and in addition, we have people like Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha, people who have excelled in their respective fields but have not an iota of clue on important legislations like GST.If India has to become a democracy in the real sense, the Rajya Sabha must be abolished or must be reformed to limit its powers (looking at the current state of things, this seems next to impossible). |

Answer» pls... mark my ans. as the brainliest answer....pls....Explanation:Examiner Comments: Part (c) on reasons for the hatred of Congress rule in the 1930s wasgenerally well answered. However, some who knew the details of Congress rule only describedwhat happened without offering any reason why it was so hated. Muslims saw thisas an attempt to convert them to Hinduism.QWhy did Muslims object to the rule of the Congress party between 1937 and 1939?[7](J2007/P1/3b)Examiner Comments: In part (b), the question required candidates to explain why manyMuslims objected to Congress rule during 1937-39. Many who were well prepared found littledifficulty. However, there was a tendency for some to describe various ways in which theMuslims were treated rather than explain why many Muslims objected.Marking Scheme: Explains reasons.Congress Rule was hated due to the atrocities committed against the Muslims. How was shaka able to build and maintain a powerful Zulu state |
Answer» ₱ⱡɇ₳₴ɇ ₥₳ɽ₭ ₳₴ ฿ɽ₳ł₦ⱡł₴₮Explanation:Shaka was born in the lunar month of uNtulikazi[a] (July) in the year of 1787 near present-day Melmoth, KwaZulu-Natal Province. Due to persecution as a result of his illegitimacy, Shaka spent his childhood in his mother's settlements where he was initiated into an ibutho lempi (fighting unit). In his EARLY days, Shaka served as a WARRIOR under the sway of Dingiswayo.[3]Shaka further refined the ibutho system used by Dingiswayo and others and, with the Mthethwa empire's support over the next several years, forged alliances with his smaller neighbours, to counter the growing threat from Ndwandwe raids from the NORTH. The initial Zulu maneuvers were primarily defensive in nature, as Shaka preferred to apply pressure diplomatically, aided by an occasional strategic assassination. His changes to local society built on existing structures. Although he preferred social and propagandistic political METHODS, he also engaged in a number of battles, as the Zulu sources make clear.[4] In turn, he was ultimately assassinated by his own half BROTHERS, Dingane and Mhlangana. Shaka's reign coincided with the start of the Mfecane (the "Upheaval" or "Crushing"), a period of widespread destruction and warfare in southern Africa between 1815 and about 1840 that depopulated the region. His role in the Mfecane is highly controversial. |

"humans originated at different regions of the world ".Do you agree with the statement ?Explain with the examples. |
Answer» continued debate in anthropology concerns the evolutionary origin of ‘anatomically modern humans’ (Homo sapiens sapiens). Different models have been proposed to examine the related QUESTIONS of (1) where and when anatomically modern humans first appeared and (2) the genetic and evolutionary relationship between modern humans and earlier human populations. Genetic data have been increasingly used to address these questions. Genetic data on living human populations have been used to reconstruct the evolutionary history of the human species by considering how global patterns of human variation could be produced given different evolutionary scenarios. Of particular interest are GENE trees that reconstruct the time and place of the most recent COMMON ancestor of humanity for a given haplotype and the analysis of regional differences in genetic diversity. Ancient DNA has also allowed a direct assessment of genetic variation in European Neandertals. Together with the fossil record, genetic data provide insight into the origin of modern humans. The evidence points to an African origin of modern humans dating back to 200 000 years FOLLOWED by later expansions of moderns out of Africa across the Old World. What is less clear is what happened when these EARLY modern humans met preexisting ‘archaic human’ populations outside of Africa. At present, it is difficult to distinguish between a model of total genetic replacement and a model that includes some degree of genetic mixture.Explanation: |
