Write the text of Pakistan resolution |
Answer» The Lahore Resolution (Urdu=Qarardad-e-Lahore قرارداد لاھور), commonly known as the Pakistan Resolution (Urdu=قرارداد پاکستان Qarardad-e-Pakistan)[1] was a political resolution, or statement drafted between 22ND to 24th March 1940, by the 25-member Working Committee of the All-INDIA Muslim League, and then formally adopted by the Muslim League membership at its general session on 23 March 1940, held at Lahore. This resolution asked for greater Muslim autonomy of Muslim majority states such as Punjab Bengal Sindh, NWFP within British India. However, later on most people thought of this as a call for a separate Muslim state, Pakistan.[2] The resolution was presented at Minto Park (now renamed 'Iqbal Park'), in Lahore, by Maulvi A.K. Fazlul Huq on the instructions of the Working Committee.[3] In fact, from the declaration made in this resolution in 1940 onwards, the GOALS of the Muslim League became INCREASINGLY fixed upon ACHIEVING an independent nation-state. Today, the resolution's importance is remembered in Pakistan, by the Minar-e-Pakistan structure that stands in the Greater Iqbal Park, Lahore. |

Trace the background of Pakistan resolution |
Answer» Pakistan Movement started originally as the Aligarh Movement, and as a result, the British Indian Muslims began to develop a SECULAR political identity.[1] Soon thereafter, the All India Muslim League was formed, which perhaps marked the beginning of the Pakistan Movement. Many of the top leadership of the movement were educated in Great Britain, with many of them educated at the Aligarh Muslim University. Many graduates of the Dhaka University soon also joined. The Pakistan Movement was a PART of the Indian independence movement, but eventually it also sought to establish a new nation-state that protected the political interests of the Indian Muslims.[2]Urdu poets such as Iqbal and Faiz used literature, poetry and speech as a powerful tool for political awareness.[3][4]Many people may think that the driving force behind the Pakistan Movement was the Muslim community of the Muslim minority provinces, United Provinces and Bombay Presidency, rather than that of the Muslim majority provinces.[5][6][7] Land boundaries and population demographics of India, Pakistan, and formerly East Pakistan (present day Bangladesh) are among the primary achievements of the Pakistan Movement. Not all Muslims of colonial India supported the Pakistan Movement and there was widespread opposition to the partition of India.[8] |

Social condition of England in 18th century essay |
Answer» Social life and culture in the 18th century were marked by stagnation and dependence on the past. There was, of course, no uniformity of culture and social patterns all over the country. Nor did all Hindus and all Muslims form two distinct societies.People were divided by RELIGION, region, tribe, language, and caste. Moreover, the social life and culture of the upper classes, who formed a tiny MINORITY of the total population, was in many respects different from the life and culture of the lower classes.HinduCaste was the central feature of the social life of the Hindus.Apart from the four vanes, Hindus were divided into numerous castes (Jatis), which differed in their nature from place to place. The caste system rigidly divided people and permanently fixed their place in the social scale. The higher castes, headed by the Brahmins, MONOPOLIZED all social prestige and privileges.Caste rules were extremely rigid. Inter-caste marriages were forbidden. There were RESTRICTIONS on inter-dining among members of different castes. In some cases, persons belonging to higher castes would not take food touched by persons of the lower castes.Castes often determined' the choice of ' profession, though exceptions did occur. Caste regulations were STRICTLY enforced by caste councils and panchayats and caste chiefs through fines, penances (prayaschitya) and expulsion from the caste.Caste was a major divisive force and element of disintegration in India of 18th century.MuslimMuslims were no less divided by considerations of caste, race, tribe, and status, even though their religion enjoined social equality. The Shia and Sunni (two sects of Muslim religion) nobles were sometimes at loggerheads on account of their religious differences. The Irani, Afghan, Turani, and Hindustani Muslim nobles, and officials often stood apart from each other.A large number of Hindus converted to Islam carried their caste into the new religion and |
