Write the short comings u find in democratic india

Answer»

A) Contradictory -
Does not define Hindu, minority etc. & uses Hindu, Sikhs, Jains etc. interchangebally.

b) No objective is defined for reservation policy.

c) Police law 1861 which was implemented by Britishers to supress first freedom struggle of 1857 is still continued till this day even though Supreme court has tried to set the course for police reforms through directives but all in vain.

d) It is infinately LARGE & not clear for large number of Indians and thus without people understanding the basic tenants of democracy there will be no democracy, only 'Dyarchy' which is being carried over from Britishers to Indian parliamentarians.
e) Special privilages were provided to ease the working methods for public representative in an ERA of slower communication but continuation of old systems is causing exchequer losses yet govts. are only improving their functioning at even lesser pace than a snail.

f) No govt. state or Central is responsible for transparancy & there are 3 solution for every PROBLEM which political parties propagate -

a) Commitee reports {Used for suggestions to investigations without any institutionalized powers or within very restrictive powers}
b) Govt. panel will always include a panel with member of ruling and opposition party which makes everything those panels do "Political".
c) Give them your vote & they will do it for you and that's why no govt. OFFICE works without political intefereance because the politicians use them to show the people that they make things happen & they care.

g) Small % of total number of voters can get you political power where much larger population is ignored in terms of vote thanks to the political divisiveness which can be propagated through 'Multi Party system' of politics. The best party system would be a 3 party system.

The whole democratic system seems like a hogwash when it sems to function in this manner -

Politicians & Courts esp. Supreme court control public perception by confusing and contradicting issues -> Police works under politicians so they essentialy control the hands which are there to impose rule of law & so they essentialy get above the law -> Beaureaucrats are local administrators but they TAKE cuts from all govt. offices & allows them a free run & Courts with 'Uncle Judges' and no transparancy control can take years to dispose the cases and can give biased judgements & still remain unpunished.

Write different groups participated in civil disobedience movement

Answer»

Following are the contributions of various social groups in the Civil Disobedience Movement:
(i) Rich peasants : Being producers of commercial crops, they were very hard hit by the trade depression and falling PRICES. As the government refused to reduce revenue demands, they in great numbers participated in the boycott programmes. For them, the fight for Swaraj was a struggle against high revenues.
(ii) Women : The women participated in protest marches, manufactured salt and picketed foreign cloth and liquor shops. Many went to jail. They began to see SERVICE to the nation as a sacred duty of women.
(III) Business class : A large number of merchants and industrialists supported this movement. They reacted against colonial policies that restricted their business ACTIVITIES. They wanted protection against imports of foreign goods.
(iv) The industrial working class : The industrial working class did not participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement in large numbers except in Nagpur. They selectively adopted some of the ideas of Gandhian programme, LIKE boycott of foreign goods, as part of their own movements against low wages and poor working conditions.
