Answer» Explanation: Reform of the United NATIONS Security Council (UNSC) encompasses five key issues: categories of membership, the question of the veto held by the five permanent members, regional representation, the size of an enlarged Council and its working METHODS, and the Security Council-General Assembly relationship. The Member States, regional groups and other Member State interest GROUPINGS developed different positions and proposals on how to MOVE forward on this contested issue.[1] Any reform of the Security Council WOULD require the agreement of at least two-thirds of UN member states in a vote in the General Assembly and must be ratified by two-thirds of Member States. Why do party leaders indulge in defection?Best answer wI'll be marked Brainliest |
Answer» Explanation: Anirudh - February 8, 2010 In the late 1960s and 70s, defections (elected legislators changing parties after the election) in Parliament and State Legislatures became very frequent, so frequent in fact, that the epithet "Aaya Ram Gaya Ram" was coined to describe the same. To curb this problem which created instability in our legislatures, Parliament AMENDED the Constitution. They inserted the Tenth Schedule to the Constitution "to curb the evil of political defections". As a result, we currently have an anti-defection law with the following features: 1. If an MP/MLA who belongs to a political party voluntarily resigns from his party or, disobeys the party "whip" (a direction GIVEN by the party to all MPs/ MLAs to VOTE in a certain manner), he is disqualified. The party may however condone the MP/ MLA within 15 days. 2. An independent MP/ MLA cannot join a political party after the election. 3. An MP/ MLA who is nominated (to the RAJYA SABHA or upper houses in state legislatures) can only join a party within 6 months of his election. 4. Mergers of well-defined groups of individuals or political parties are exempted from disqualification if certain conditions are met. 5. The decision to disqualify is taken by the Speaker/ Chairman of the House. The table below summarizes provisions of anti-defection law in some other countries. (For more, click here). As one may note, a number of developed countries do not have any law to regulate defection. |

The history of representative democracy based on multi party system in Bangladesh |
Answer» Answer: hey! Explanation: A multi-party system is a political system in which MULTIPLE political parties across the political spectrum run for national election, and all have the capacity to gain ...Chief Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed was nominated as the Chief Advisor and observed the 1991 general election. A Caretaker government is HEADED by a Chief Adviser who enjoys the same power as the regular PRIME minister of the country except defense matters. The Advisors function as Ministers. After 1991, the Caretaker government has also held the elections of 1996, 2001 and 2008. Although the first caretaker government was intended to help the transition from authoritarianism to democracy, this system was institutionalized in 1996 by the Sixth Parliament due to rising mistrust between the BNP and Awami League. In 2011 the then ruling party Awami League abolished the caretaker government system. This has been the biggest cause of dispute. MARK AS BRAINLIEST! I WROTE A LOT AS COMPARED TO WHAT WAS NEEDED!! Why did scholar like beneir choose to compare India with european? |
Answer» Answer: They were interested in India because British wanted India to make goods product for them so that they can TRADE with other nations. India was considered as the most valuable country for the Britain because India was a major supplier for them. European colonialism and colonization was the policy or practice of acquiring full or partial POLITICAL control over other societies and territories, founding a colony, occupying it with settlers, and exploiting it economically. Research suggests, the current conditions of postcolonial countries have roots in colonial actions and policies.[1][2] For example, colonial policies, such as the type of rule implemented,[3] the nature of investments,[4][5] and identity of the colonizers,[6] are cited as impacting postcolonial states. Examination of the state-building process, economic development, and cultural norms and mores shows the direct and indirect consequences of colonialism on the postcolonial states. Explanation: The era of European colonialism lasted from the 15th to 20th centuries and involved European powers vastly extending their reach around the globe by establishing colonies in the Americas, Africa, and Asia. The dismantling of European empires following World War II saw the process of decolonization begin in earnest.[7] In 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill jointly released the Atlantic Charter, which broadly outlined the goals of the U.S. and British governments. One of the main clauses of the charter acknowledged the right of all people to choose their own government.[8] The document became the foundation for the United Nations and all of its components were integrated into the UN Charter, giving the ORGANIZATION a mandate to pursue global decolonization.[9] |

True or false with reason the principal of Justice and equality aims at ending discrimination in social status |
Answer» Answer: All human beings are born free both in dignity and in rights, so why is it that INDIVIDUALS who go on to develop and experience mental illness are seen as a soft target for discrimination at a number of levels and in VARIOUS domains in their daily LIVES? This discrimination is damaging, derogatory, and demeaning, thereby making individuals with mental illness second class citizens. By association, such discrimination also has an impact on people who look after individuals with mental illness (whether they are professional or lay carers). World Psychiatric Association (WPA) in its 2014–2017 Action Plan, DECIDED to look at PUBLIC mental health agenda along with discrimination against people with mental illness. WPA represents over 250 000 psychiatrists from 117 countries around the globe, and is therefore interested and committed to challenging discrimination. It commissioned the Centre for Mental Health Law to conduct a survey of as many countries as possible, studying their laws for discrimination in areas of employment, voting rights, funding, and other potential aspects of individual functioning.
