I knew I could eventually find a place that I could recommend as an affiliate. No. I stared at my paper outline and started CRYING. I knew someone close was going to die. I felt it like a pit in my stomach.

I ditched my business design determined that I could come up with something else. Give it a break and come back to it. I SPENT the better part of a year planning my design. I had some 401k money and had negotiated a large bonus, my plan was by the 1st of the year I would be ready. Life had other plans for me. After I put it to the side I got a call from my mom. My dad was sick. I hung up the PHONE and it was like a voice in my head saying it's dad….he’ll be gone in a year. Plain as day. I lost my job because I missed too much time for my dad. I lost my bonus as well which I'm pretty sure was the real reason for the lay off.

Needless to say, my dad was indeed gone within the year. My 401k and savings allowed me to not work and be by his side for that time which I am truly grateful for.
