Reason out wither are not work is don in the of the them work light of your understanding

Answer»

Explanation:

Many nonwoody plants rely almost exclusively on water pressure, or TURGOR, within their cells to keep them erect. HOWEVER, plants are constantly losing water through small openings in their leaves (called stomata) in a process known as transpiration. While transpiration is vital for photosynthesis and helps transport nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant, the vast majority of the water absorbed by the roots is lost through this process. On a hot, dry day (or after several days with no rain or watering), transpiration causes more water to be lost than is coming in, and the water balance within the plant can get thrown off. The dehydrated COLLAPSING cells in the leaves and stems can no longer remain erect, and the plant begins to wilt. Interestingly, wilting also serves to reduce water loss, as the drooping leaves expose less surface area to the SUN's evaporative rays. Most plants recover quickly when given water, though prolonged dehydration can be fatal or cause leaf death.

There are also a number of plant diseases, known collectively as “wilt,” that cause plants to wilt and DISCOLOR. These infections can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi, and many of these diseases will kill the plant if left untreated. If a wilted plant doesn’t perk up after receiving water and generally looks unhealthy, one of these culprits may be to blame. Many important food crops are susceptible to wilt diseases, but modern breeders have developed resistant strains and varieties for a number of these plants.

11.

How do guard cells regulate opening and closing of stomata

Answer»

Answer:

The OPENING and CLOSING of STOMATA are controlled by the guard cells. When water FLOWS into the guard cells, they SWELL up and the curved surface causes the stomata to open. When the guard cells lose water, they shrink and become flaccid and straight thus closing the stomata.

Dissipation due to current;

Answer»

{\tt{\red{\underline{\underline{\huge{Answer:}}}}}}

  • It is important to be aware of the effect of power dissipation in COMPONENTS, the greater the power, the more heat must be dissipated by the component. This GENERALLY means that components dissipating LARGE amounts of power get hot, also they will be considerably larger in size than low power types.

  • Any resistor in a circuit that has a voltage drop across it dissipates electrical power. This electrical power is converted into heat ENERGY hence all resistors have a power rating. This is the maximum power that can be dissipated from the resistor without it BURNING out.

Define these terms pressure

Answer»

ANSWER:

Pressure (symbol: p or P) is the force APPLIED perpendicular to the surface of an OBJECT PER unit area over which that force is distributed. ... Pressure may also be expressed in terms of standard atmospheric pressure; the atmosphere (atm) is EQUAL to this pressure, and the torr is defined as 1⁄760 of this.

Explanation:

19.

When two force act on object in the same direction, the resulyant force is calculated by_____.

Answer»

The mechanism of dilatation of the pupil produced by sympathomimetics is controversial. Whether it is achieved by relaxation of the circular constrictor fibres or it is an active contraction of radial dilator muscle fibres. The theory of active relaxation of sphinctef was supported by JOSEPH, [8] YONKMAN [11] and BEAN AND BOHR [4] by observing that adrenergic agents are much more POTENT in relaxing sphincter pupillae than contracting the dilator pupillae. LOWENFELD [9] showed that sympathomimetics such as, epinephrine, PHENYLEPHRINE and ephedrine dilate the pupil by active contraction of dilator pupillae.

There have been numerous attempts to explain the mechanism of action of sympathomimetics, whether it is through alpha or beta receptors. AHLQUIST [2] concluded that human iris tissue contains only alpha receptors and sympathomimetic drugs act through these receptors only. This view has been subsequently supported by BENNETT, REINKE, ALPERT, BAUM AND LEON. [5] So far there is no study to SHOW whether beta receptors exist in the human iris and what is their distribution, and what is the shape of the pupil when it dilates under the effect of sympathomimetics? This study was undertaken to investigate these problems.
