A short circuit is FORMED when an electrical CURRENT is deviated from it's orginial route (EHICH might be a cable,or something else).

An example of short circut is when you touch a plugged cable that still isn't covered with that protective plastic/rubber. The electricity gets diviated to you, instead of following it's WAY trough the cable.
