I really need help on this Discussion Topic Each substance has a unique set of properties that depends on the kinds of atoms it has and how the atoms are connected, or bonded. Bonding is related to the electrons in an atom, and there are different kinds of bonds. As a result, some substances can have the same atoms but different bonds. Substances that are different but have the same atoms are called allotropes. Allotropes have very different properties. Diamond and graphite are well-known allotropes. Graphite is used in pencils for writing and is sometimes called lead. Diamond is colorless and transparent, and is one of the hardest substances known. Graphite is dark gray and soft. When we write, layers of graphite easily transfer from the pencil to the paper. Although they’re different, diamond and graphite each only contain one kind of atom—carbon. How do you think the bonds between carbon atoms might be different in diamond and graphite? Use household materials to build physical models to help you develop your ideas. Describe what you learned from your models. What other kinds of allotropes are there? What kinds of properties and atomic bonds do they have? |
|
Answer» ONG>Answer: Diamond and graphite are well-known that all taps as used is PEANUT as of transpert DIFFERENT diamonds etc.. |

The process of respiration is? a) oxidation & enothermic d) decomposition & enothermic c) combination & exothermic d) oxidation and exothermic |
|
Answer» ong>Explanation: Respiration: The process of releasing energy by the oxidation of food is known as respiration. The process of respiration INVOLVES intake of oxygenated air into the cells for breaking the food and releasing energy. Mechanism of respiration: i. Air is drawn into the body through the nostrils. ii. The air from the nasal cavity passes to the pharynx, which leads to the trachea, through a slit called glottis. iii. The trachea runs down the neck and DIVIDES into two bronchi, which lead into the lungs and further divide into SMALLER bronchioles. The smallest bronchioles terminate into alveoli. iv. The walls of the alveoli are thin and COVERED by blood capillaries to facilitate the exchange of gases in the lungs. v. In the alveoli, the exchange of gases takes place, CO 2
from the blood is replaced with O 2
and CO 2
is removed out of the body. vi. In humans, for the process of respiration, air is drawn into the lungs by the process of breathing. When an INDIVIDUAL inhales, the diaphragm moves down, and the chest cavity expands and the oxygen rich air is drawn into the lungs. When the individual exhales, the diaphragm relaxes and the chest cavity moves back to its relaxed position and the carbon dioxide rich air is expelled out of the body. |

Write a letter to your local representativesabout the garbage problem in your area and discuss the problem wuth them in person. |
|
Answer» SIR, My name shaurya singh, a resident of Square villa colony. I am writing this letter to complain you about litter problem in our neighborhood. The main problem is rubbish collecting van does not come REGULARLY, because of this, the litter is heavily being deposited on the road. After, two days it produces bad smell that is harmful for us. Moreover, it attracts various insects and microorganisms. Sometimes, in windy atmosphere, garbage is dispersed on the entire lane, which makes the colony untidy. This situation has WORSENED when one of my neighbors became sick because of awful atmosphere of colony. I am concerned about the safety of my family members and residents of colony. Hence, I believe this problem should be solved as early as possible. To address this problem, I suppose that the rubbish should be collected daily or at least on alternate days to prevent the accumulation of waste. As a responsible environmental officer, you have to look into this issue and implement stern rules to avoid these kinds of problems. I look forward to seeing a prompt ACTION from you. Yours sincerely, shaurya singh
