What do you mean by illuminated objects and what do you mean by Luminous objects give the examples write the laws of reflection what do you mean by Periscope what do you mean by kaleidoscope what is regular reflection what is diffuse reflection what is incident ray incident ray ok inderscience

Answer»

ated objects are the one which reflect the light coming from the source. Luminous objects are which emit their own light and are considered as sources of light. 1. The incident ray, reflected ray and the normal to the plane, all lie on the same side of the plane.2. The angle of incidence is always equal to the abgle of reflection in case of a regular suface.Regular reflection is in which the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.A periscope is an instrument for observation over, around or through an object, obstacle or condition that prevents direct line-of-sight observation from an observer's current position. In its simplest form, it consists of an outer case with mirrors at each END set parallel to each other at a 45° angle.A kaleidoscope is a STRUCTURE CONSISTING of three plain mirrors JOINT with the reflective side FACING inwards and at and angle of 60 degrees. In a diffused reflection, the incident ray is reflected at many angles rather than one single angle.

21.

As we all know clean and fresh water is transparent but if we throw it its shadow will form why

Answer»

this depends on the shape of the water. When light moves from air to water or back, it bends (refracts) based on the angle it hits the water or air. Because a STREAM of water is round, the light bounces away from the stream when passing through it, leaving a shadow where the light didn't end up. This is why the bottom of a pool is not in shadow: the light hits the top of the pool mostly straight, and so CONTINUES to the bottom. If it is refracted, it is all bends the same direction, so you still get an even amount of light at the bottom. Similarly, if you have ever seen a waterbug, or other lightweight object floating on the surface of a pool, you will notice they create round shadows where they touch the water. This is because they MAKE "dents" in the water which bend the light away and leave a dark spot. The opposite effect happens with light from air to GLASS: a MAGNIFYING glass concentrates the light by bending it inward. Light bends when it hits the water. If the shape of the water is round or curved, all the light bends away from the water, leaving a shadow.

The larvae, CALLED caterpillars or silkworms, eat day and night and increase enormously in size and are kept in clean bamboo trays along with freshly chopped mulberry leaves.   After 25 to 30 days, the caterpillars stop eating and move to a tiny chamber of bamboo in the tray to SPIN cocoons and small racks or twigs may be provided in the trays to which cocoons get attached. The caterpillar or silk worm spins the cocoon inside which develops the silk moth.  Processing silk :   A pile of cocoons is used for obtaining silk fibres and the cocoons are kept under the sun or boiled or exposed to steam and the silk fibres separate out. The process of taking out threads from the cocoon for use as silk is called reeling the silk.  Reeling is done in special machines, which unwind the threads or fibres of silk from the cocoon and the silk fibres are then spun into silk threads, wh
