Answer»

(a) From A to B

total distance = total displacement = 300 m

time TAKEN = 150 seconds

Average Speed = distance/time = 300/150 = 2m/s

Average VELOCITY = displacement/time = 300/150 = 2m/s

_______________________________________________________^_^

(b) From A to C

total distance = 300 + 100 = 400m

total displacement = 300 - 100 = 200m

total time taken = 150 +60 = 210 seconds

Average speed = distance/time = 400/210 = 1.90m/s

Average velocity = displacement/time = 200/210 = 0.95m/s

27.

Which statement best describes the central nervous system?

Answer»

The central nervous system (CNS) is the PART of the nervous system consisting of the brainand spinal cord. The central nervous system is so named because it integrates information it receives from, and coordinates and influences the activity of, all parts of the bodies of bilaterally symmetric animals—that is, all multicellular animals except spongesand radially symmetric animals such as jellyfish—and it contains the MAJORITY of the nervous system. Many consider the retina[2]and the optic nerve (cranial nerve II),[3][4] as well as the OLFACTORY nerves (cranial nerve I) and olfactory epithelium[5] as parts of the CNS, synapsing directly on brain tissue without intermediate ganglia. As such, the olfactory epithelium is the only central nervous tissue in direct contact with the environment, which opens up for therapeutictreatments. [5] The CNS is contained within the dorsal body cavity, with the brain housed in the cranial cavity and the spinal cord in the spinal canal. In vertebrates, the brain is protected by the SKULL, while the spinal cord is protected by the vertebrae.[6] The brain and spinal cord are both enclosed in the meninges.[6] In central nervous systems, the interneuronal space is FILLED with a large amount of supporting non-nervous cells called neuroglial cells

2)..The main function of auxin is to help plants grow. Auxin stimulates plant cells to elongate, and the apical meristem of a plant is one of the main places that auxin is produced.
The pituitary gland is a part of your endocrine system. Its main function is to secrete hormones into your bloodstream. These hormones can affect other organs and glands, especially : ... adrenal glands.

3). cerebrums, cerebellum and medulla are the thee most important part of brain.

3) B.Neuron is the structural and functional unit of nervous system. There are three components of neurons- Axon, cell body and dendrite. The axon conducts messages AWAY from the cell body. The dendrite receives information from the next cell and conducts it towards the cell body. The cell body contains the nucleus, mitochondria, and other organelles. It is mainly concerned with maintenance and growth of the cell.

4)The autonomic nervous system is a control system that acts largely unconsciously and regulates bodily functions such as the heart rate, digestion, RESPIRATORY rate, pupillary response, urination, and sexual arousal. ... Within the brain, the autonomic nervous system is regulated by the hypothalamus.

5) Humans have glands that secrete hormones at different times to stimulate body processes such as growth, development, and the breaking down of sugars. ... Abscisic acid is a plant hormone involved in many developmental plant processes, such as dormancy and environmental stress response.

6) Movement in plants – The behavior of an organism is greatly affected by the responses it makes to both external (outside the body) and internal (within the body) stimuli. This ability of response to the stimulus is present in the protoplasm and is the characteristics of all the living organisms both plants and animals.

7)Involuntary action is the set of muscle movement which do not require thinking. But it is controlled by brain for example beating of heart beat. While on the other hand, the reflex action is rapid and spontaneous action in response to any stimulus which doesn't involve brain.

8) Hormones are the chemical substances which coordinate the ACTIVITIES of living organisms and also their growth. They are SECRETED by special tissues in our body through endocrine glands. ... They help in body growth, development, metabolism, sexual function, reproduction etc.

10)Plant a seedling in a vessel containing soil. ii. ... It CONFIRMS that plant shows hydrotropism as the roots bend towards the porous pot of water. As hydrotropism is a plant growth response in which the direction of growth is determined by a stimulus of gradient in water concentration.

What is changing of induction

Answer»

HELLO USER

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

1824, Oersted discovered that current passing though a COIL created a magnetic fieldcapable of shifting a compass needle. Seven years later, Faraday and Henry discovered just the opposite. They noticed that a moving magnetic field would induce current in an electrical conductor. This process of generating electrical current in a conductor by placing the conductor in a changing magnetic field is called electromagnetic induction or just induction. It is called induction because the current is said to be induced in the conductor by the magnetic field.

Faraday also noticed that the rate at which the magnetic field changed also had an effect on the amount of current or voltage that was induced. Faraday's Law for an uncoiled conductor states that the amount of induced voltage is proportional to the rate of change of flux lines cutting the conductor. Faraday's Law for a straight WIRE is shown below.

Where:

VL = the induced voltage in volts
dø/dt = the rate of change of magnetic flux in webers/second

Induction is measured in unit of HENRIES (H) which reflects this dependence on the rate of change of the magnetic field. One henry is the amount of inductance that is required to generate one volt of induced voltage when the current is changing at the rate of one ampere per second. Note that current is used in the definition rather than magnetic field. This is because current can be used to generate the magnetic field and is EASIER to measure and control than magnetic flux.

In your opinion is poaching a serious crime . justify your answeri will mark you as the brain list

Answer»

Hi

Poaching has been defined as the illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights.

The number of rhinos illegally slaughtered in South Africa reached an all-time high in 2013, with an average of THREE rhinos killed each day, ACCORDING to new figures released this month by the South African Department of Environmental Affairs.

Hunting wildlife or feral animals is most commonly DONE by humans for food, recreation, to remove predators that are dangerous to humans or domestic animals, or for trade. Lawful hunting is distinguished from poaching, which is the illegal killing, TRAPPING or capture of the hunted species

Here we'll look at some notable animals that have been hunted (or nearly) hunted to extinction.

Woolly Mammoths. ...

Caspian Tigers. ...

Thylacines (Tasmanian Tigers) ...

DODOS. ...

Passenger Pigeons. ...

Polar Bears. ...

Muskox. ...

American Crocodiles

Applying the same statistical approach to extinction data revealed a rate of 100 to 1,000 species lost per million per year, mostly due to human-caused habitat destruction and climate change. (See: "7 Species Hit Hard by Climate Change—Including One That's Already Extinct.

Hoping it helps

:D
