Define precipitate incomes

Answer»

Answer:

In meteorology, precipitation is any product of the condensation of atmospheric water vapour that falls under gravity from clouds.[2] The main forms of precipitation include drizzle, rain, sleet, snow, ice pellets, graupel and hail. Precipitation occurs when a portion of the atmosphere BECOMES saturated with water vapor (reaching 100% relative humidity), so that the water condenses and "precipitates". Thus, fog and mist are not precipitation but suspensions, because the water vapor does not condense sufficiently to precipitate. Two processes, possibly acting together, can lead to air becoming saturated: cooling the air or adding water vapor to the air. Precipitation forms as smaller droplets coalesce via collision with other rain drops or ice crystals within a cloud. Short, intense periods of rain in scattered locations are called "showers."[3]

Moisture that is lifted or otherwise forced to rise over a layer of sub-freezing air at the surface may be condensed into clouds and rain. This process is typically active when freezing rain occurs. A stationary front is often present near the area of freezing rain and serves as the focus for forcing and rising air. Provided necessary and sufficient atmospheric moisture content, the moisture within the rising air will condense into clouds, namely stratus and cumulonimbus. EVENTUALLY, the cloud droplets will GROW large enough to form raindrops and descend toward the Earth where they will freeze on contact with exposed objects. Where relatively warm water bodies are present, for example due to water evaporation from lakes, lake-effect snowfall becomes a concern downwind of the warm lakes within the cold cyclonic flow around the backside of extratropical cyclones. Lake-effect snowfall can be locally heavy. Thundersnow is possible within a cyclone's comma head and within lake effect precipitation bands. In mountainous areas, heavy precipitation is possible where upslope flow is maximized within windward sides of the terrain at elevation. On the leeward side of mountains, desert climates can exist due to the dry air caused by compressional heating. Most precipitation occurs within the tropics[4] and is caused by convection. The movement of the monsoon trough, or intertropical convergence zone, brings rainy seasons to savannah regions.

Precipitation is a major component of the water cycle, and is responsible for depositing the fresh water on the planet. Approximately 505,000 cubic kilometres (121,000 cu mi) of water falls as precipitation each year; 398,000 cubic kilometres (95,000 cu mi) of it over the oceans and 107,000 cubic kilometres (26,000 cu mi) over land.[5] Given the Earth's surface area, that means the globally averaged annual precipitation is 990 millimetres (39 in), but over land it is only 715 millimetres (28.1 in). Climate classification SYSTEMS such as the Köppen climate classification system use average annual rainfall to help differentiate between differing climate regimes.

Criticism of consumer movement in India case study

Answer»

Answer---»»

★ It was thought that passage of the Consumer Protection ACT in India in 1986 would encourage consumers to stand up for their rights and lead to an overwhelming number of disputes in consumer COURTS. Although a consumer movement has yet to get going in India, existence of the act has stimulated the creation of many consumer organizations across the country. The number has such organizations has more the doubled in the last few years so that there are now 600-800 organizations in the voluntary sector. The movement has not blossomed because not all of the organizations are active enough to make an impact, there has hardly been any unified action which would demonstrate their strength, and there has been no active consumer participation in the movements. Consumers claim that the lack of consumer education makes them passive and apathetic, and blame consumer organizations. The majority of consumers in the country are even unaware of the existence of consumer courts to which they make take their grievances. Consumer rights organizations, however, counter that they lack sufficient funds and blame the GOVERNMENT for their inaction. The author acknowledges criticism that the Indian consumer movement is elitist and considers the need to focus upon rural consumers, the significant contributions that organizations have made in laying the foundations for change, the need for consumer education, the need for specialists, the particular need for consumer protection with regard to HEALTH-related PRODUCTS, and support by voluntary health groups.

Give your own position about gender based violence in your country

Answer»

Answer:

Gender violence, also known as gender-BASED violence or gendered violence, is the term used to denote harm INFLICTED UPON individuals and groups that is connected to normative understandings of their gender.[1] This connection can be in the form of cultural understandings of gender roles, both institutional and structural forces that endorse violence based on gender and societal INFLUENCES that shape violent events along gender lines. While the term is often used synonymously with ‘violence against women’, gendered violence can and does occur for people of all genders including men, women, male and female children and gender diverse individuals.

Activities heavily associated with violence are overwhelmingly shaped by understandings of gender and gender roles. War, for example, in contemporary understandings is divided between civilian and combatants with a general understanding that men make up the vast majority of combatants and women and young children the majority of civilians. In cases like the Srebenica massacre, in which 8,000 men and male children were killed, the basis of their murder was a gendered understanding that they had the potential of being, or becoming combatants in the Bosnian war.[2]

In discussing gender and violence at regional levels, the experiences of people who exist in transition between spaces or who are not COUNTED within regional data can potentially be omitted from this discussion; these include displaced persons, people seeking asylum and refugees.

Discuss briefly point wise the reasons behind the anti British uprising in Assam

Answer»

Answer:

In 1824 Assam was occupied by British forces following the First Anglo-Burmese War and on 24 February 1826 it was ceded to Britain by Burma under Yandaboo Treaty of 1826.[1] Between 1826 and 1832 Assam was made part of Bengal under the Bengal Presidency. From 1832 to OCTOBER 1838 the Assam princely state was restored in Upper Assam while the British ruled in Lower Assam. Purandar Singha was allowed to rule as king of Upper Assam in 1833, but after that brief period Assam was annexed to Bengal by the British. In 1873 British political control was imposed on western Naga communities. On 6 February 1874 Assam, including Sylhet, was severed from Bengal to form the Assam Chief-Commissionership, also known as the 'North-East FRONTIER'. Shillong was chosen as the capital of the Non-Regulation Province of Assam in SEPTEMBER 1874. The Lushai Hills were transferred to Assam in 1897. The new Commissionership included the five districts of Assam proper (Kamrup, Nagaon, Darrang, Sibsagar and Lakhimpur), Khasi-Jaintia Hills, Garo Hills, Naga Hills, Goalpara and Sylhet-Cachar comprising about 54,100 sq miles. Cooch Behar a historical part of Assam, was left out.[2]

From 16 October 1905 Assam became part of the Province of East Bengal and Assam. The province was annulled in 1911 following a SUSTAINED mass protest campaign and on 1 APRIL 1912 the two parts of Bengal were reunited and a new partition based on language followed, Oriya and Assamese areas were separated to form new administrative units: Bihar and Orissa Province was created to the west, and Assam Province to the east.

Answer»

Freedom of religion in Sri LANKA is a protected right under Chapter II, Article 9 of the constitution of Sri Lanka. This applies to all religions, though Buddhism is given primary protection as the state religion. Buddhism was given the foremost place by President J. R. Limitations on proselytism were OUTLINED by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2018, with the ruling against a Catholic organisation stating that the provision of economic and financial support to VULNERABLE individuals while promulgating a faith was an infringement upon those individuals' right to freedom of religion.

However, even after a considerable growth, this sector is suffering a hiatus due to few factors like the rural INFRASTRUCTURE (the roads, communication or the electricity), scanty skilled labor due to lack of proper training and facilities, etc. None the less, in the present times, a number of research WORKS are being conducted to study the rural non-farming activities and ways to promote and uplift the same, in our nation.

All the non- agricultural activities are deemed to be non-farming activities. However, there are two varied ways to better define non-farming activities. The first approach deals with the locus, i.e., the space in which the activities are taking place should essentially be a designated rural area. The second approach is that of the linkage criteria. The linkage approach has to do with different industries developing commercial linkages with the RNF (rural non-farm) SECTORS. Non-farming activities can include various ventures like handicrafts, household as well as non-household small-scale manufacturing, construction, mining, quarrying, repair, transport, community service etc, but of course in the designated rural areas. The non-farming activities thus, play a vital role in providing employment facilities to small-scale farm household or to the rural-urban migrating population. Studies show that the productivity of farming activities has been SEEN considerably reducing in the contemporary times. (Reports from Asian Productivity Organization, 2004). As a result, rural non-farm activities need to be most extensively and effectively developed, more than ever in the recent times. Not only would it contribute to the overall GNI (GROSS National Income), it would also act as a financial aid for the rural population, whose main income is vested in agriculture.
