Write a few lines to show what you know about:kulaksthe Dumawomen workers between 1900 and 1930the Liberals

Answer»

Answer:

Explanation:

a) Kulaks: This term was used for the wealthy peasants of Russia. Kulaks had larger farms than most Russian peasants, and they were partially responsible for food shortage in 1927-28 as Stalin believed that Kulaks were indulged in hoarding grains to earn more profits. Stalin later eliminated Kulaks to develop modern farming techniques.

(b) Duma: Duma was Russian assembly which was assigned legislative functions. During the Revolution of 1905, the Tsar elected the first State Duma for the Russian EMPIRE.

(c) Women workers between 1900 and 1930: By 1914, more than 30% of women started working in the industries. On 22nd February 1917, many women became the leaders in organizing strikes in factories. This day was later named the International Women's Day. They joined trade unions and political organizations. Women had a major role to play in Russia as they HELPED the male workers in both revolutions - The February and OCTOBER Revolution. After the INTRODUCTION of the new constitution in USSR, the women workers were given equal political, social and economic rights.

(d) Liberals: The Liberals were the group that wanted to change society and wanted a secular nation. They also worked to safeguard the rights of individuals against the government. They advocated for an elected parliamentary government but did not believe in Universal Adult Franchise. They believed only men of property should be given the right to vote. However, they were against giving voting rights to women.

(e) Stalin’s collectivization program: From 1928 to 1940, the Soviet Union of Russia imposed collectivization of agricultural units under the control of Joseph Stalin. It began in 1929 and was a five-year plan. The peasants were forced to cultivate in the collective farms. Many peasants protested against it and burnt their livestock to show their anger. The result of collectivization varied from what was desired, and it even TURNED worse in the consequent years.

Write a dialouge on the contributions of luminaries

Answer»

Answer:

Explanation:FLORENCE, ITALY — Like many other halls of fame, the collection of Florence’s cathedral museum, the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, assembles such STAGGERING luminary power that it’s hard not to WALK through the building starstruck, with the aesthetic version of a brain freeze headache from consuming too much ice cream too quickly.

Here, near the entry, are Lorenzo Ghiberti’s renowned bronze “Gates of Paradise” — the actual 1425-52, nearly 5,000-pound doors that had adorned the Baptistery, opposite the Duomo, until they were replaced (for safekeeping) by copies.

Around a corner, one discovers Michelangelo’s “Pietà,” the artist’s penultimate work, which he sought to destroy, having intended the highly personal sculpture to adorn his own tomb. Italian painter Vasari reported that Michelangelo sculpted it at NIGHT by the light of a single candle, and on one such occasion, when he saw Vasari, Michelangelo EXTINGUISHED the candle, so the former wouldn’t get a GLIMPSE of the sculpture.

Explain the signification of the French revolution in history

Answer»

The French Revolution was a period when the common people fought for freedom and justice. It included the whole population of France and influenced the members of all classes. It evolved the people concerned due to the abolishment of serfdom and absolutism. This gave the farmers of France equal benefits and democracy.

Explanation:

  • The intellectual origins of the Revolution came from a global network of European and American 'patriots', who shared ideas and political principles, contacts accelerated by the American Revolution.

  • Together, they marked the beginning of the Age of Revolution, which continued into the mid-19th century and impacted much of Europe and the Americas. However, the French quickly discarded the American Revolution as a reference point, and they are generally viewed as distinct events, with different causes.

  • , they marked the beginning of the Age of Revolution, which continued into the mid-19th century and impacted much of Europe and the Americas. However, the French quickly discarded the American Revolution as a reference point, and they are generally viewed as distinct events, with different causes.Between 1700 and 1789, the French population increased from 18 million to 26 million, leading to large numbers of unemployed, accompanied by sharp rises in food prices CAUSED by years of bad harvests.

  • Widespread social distress led to the convocation of the Estates General in May 1789, the first held since 1614. In June, the Estates were converted into a National Assembly, which swept away the existing establishment in a series of radical measures. These included the abolition of feudalism, state control of the Catholic Church and extending the right to vote.

  • The next three years were dominated by the struggle for political control, exacerbated by economic depression and social unrest. External powers like Austria, Britain and Prussia viewed the Revolution as a threat, leading to the outbreak of the French Revolutionary Wars in April 1792. Disillusionment with Louis XVI led to the establishment of the First French Republic on 22 September 1792, followed by his execution in January 1793. In June, an uprising in Paris replaced the Girondins who dominated the Assembly with a Committee of Public Safety under Maximilien Robespierre.

  • This sparked the Reign of Terror, an attempt to eradicate alleged "counter-revolutionaries"; by the time it ended in July 1794, over 3,000 had been executed in Paris alone. As well as external enemies, the Republic FACED a series of internal Royalist and Jacobin revolts; in order to deal with these, the Directory took power in November 1795. Despite military success, the cost of the war led to economic stagnation and internal divisions, and in November 1799, the Directory was replaced by the Consulate. This is generally viewed as marking the end of the Revolutionary period.

  • Many Revolutionary symbols such as La MARSEILLAISE and phrases like Liberté, égalité, fraternité reappeared in other revolts, such as the 1917 Russian Revolution.

  • Over the next two centuries, its key principles like equality would inspire campaigns for the abolition of slavery and universal suffrage. Its values and INSTITUTIONS dominate French politics to this day, and many historians regard the Revolution as ONE of the most important events in human history .
