Hence, this bridge was constructed to carry out trade and communication between the two places. It has been said that one of the stone slabs was broken by an elephant. Now, there is a 50 years old Steel Bridge and a 10 year old RCC Bridge just next to this bridge. The bridge consists of huge well hewn granite stone slabs perched on equally similar pillars. Beside the stone bridge is also the Muwi Waterfalls. Thlumuwi Stone Bridge is a MANMADE megalithic bridge located at Chkentalang village is one of the noted historical places in Jaintia HILLS and among the best Jowai Tourist Places.
