How can you say unity in diversity

Answer»

Unity in diversity is a concept of "unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation"[1] that SHIFTS focus from unity based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, linguistic, social, religious, political, ideological and/or psychological differences towards a more complex unity based on an understanding that difference ENRICHES human interactions. It has applications in many fields, including ecology,[1]cosmology, philosophy,[2]religion[3] and politics.[4]

The idea and related phrase is very old and dates BACK to ancient times in both Western and Eastern Old World cultures. The concept of unity in diversity was used by both the indigenous peoples of North America and Taoist societies in 400–500 B.C. In premodern Western CULTURE, it has existed in an implicit FORM in certain organic conceptions of the universe that developed in the civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome.[1]

What are the four pillars of Fascism

Answer»

One very STRONG leader.Less freedom of speech.Keep the guns.No WELFARE at all.The economic system would allow for people to RUN businesses while the government owns the BANKS, oil & other essentials.A strong military and a strong sense of Nationalism.

One thing to keep in mind is that when Capitalism is in crisis and under threat, FASCISM arises, because the masses are unable to differentiate from systemic oppression and associating with 'the Other'. The harder this gets, the harder people search for justification in their own minds, and Fascists give them what they want.

26.

Plz explain this para

Answer»

ANSWER
______________________________

This is from the Chapter - Industrial Revolution

The Para means that the wages of the workers were INCREASED in the 19th century but actually this doesn't tell us about improve in their economic condition. These were just mere STATISTICS and doesn't provide the correct image of the lifestyle of the workers . It is because when the prices rose sharply during the Napoleonic war those increased wages were of no USE. The condition of the workers were further impoverished because the wages not decided on the basis of profit of the company but were fixed. The workers were given daily wages i.e. wage only for the day which they worked and were not given salary like for months. Thus, there was a seasonal unemployment i.e. PERIODS were there when people remain unemployed since the factories had not employed them but just using them for one day. It is like you are constructing a Shelf and need masons for just one day So you will call them and they will work for the day take money and then " GOODBYE" You haven't employed them but just used them. Same was the case during that era.

Rest are statistics, You have to learn nothing to explain.

Why Satyagraha not to be classified as passive resistance according to Gandhiji

Answer»

The year 1919 marked the entry of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle that changed the course of NATIONAL movement spreading to new areas, incorporating new social groups and developing new methods of struggle. Mahatma Gandhi was GREAT thinker, NATIONALIST and a reformer who laid out new methods of agitation. Satyagraha as active resistance meant the following:

Mahatma Gandhi who had successfully fought the racist regime in South Africa with his novel idea of struggle called Satyagraha emphasized on the power of truth and the need to search for truth.

He believed that if our cause of struggle was true then we need not resort to aggression or physical violence and that a satyagrahi could win the battle through non violence by changing the conscience of the oppressor.

Gandhiji believed that his idea of satyagraha was not meant for THINKING and preaching rather action by the people. That is why he referred it as active resistance which calls for active participation by the masses. In this context, he organized satyagraha movements in various places like Champaran struggle in Bihar, Peasants movement in Kheda district of Gujarat and Ahmadabad Mill Strike where he compelled people to remain non violent and organize peaceful protests against the oppressor .

One can give examples of his major mass movements like non cooperation, civil disobedience in which he used new forms of agitation like salt march, defying laws, boycotting of foreign GOODS, schools, colleges, legislative councils incorporating people from all sections of Indian society and does not accord passive role to them.

It also meant remaining non violent which was a symbol of strength rather than cowardice.

31.

Why is Satyagraha not to be classified as passive resistance according to Gandhiji

Answer»

Satyagraha is not be classified as PASSIVE resistance according to GANDHIJI.

Gandhiji MADE a distinction between Satyagraha and Passive resistance. Passive resistance exclude the use of physical force for the gaining ONE's end, whereas Satyagraha EXCLUDES the use of violence.

43.

Why is Indian Federation called quite unique explain brief

Answer»

The Constitution of India GIVES a federal structure to the Republic of India, DECLARING it to be a "Union of the States". Part XI of the Indian constitution SPECIFIES the distribution of legislative, administrative and executive powers between the Union or Federal or Central government, and the States of India.[1] The legislative powers are categorised under the Union List, a State List and a Concurrent List, representing, respectively, the powers conferred upon the Union government, those conferred upon the State governments and the shared powers.

The federalism is asymmetric in that the devolved powers of the constituent units are not all that same. The state of Jammu and KASHMIR was accorded a higher degree of autonomy than other States under the Article 370.[1] The Union Territories are unitary type directly governed by the Union government though Article 1 (1) of the constitution stipulates a two tier-governance with an additional local elected government by the local citizens throughout the country. However, Delhi and Puducherry have been accorded their own legislatures under Article 239AA and 239A respectively.[1]

The fundamental rights of the citizens can be applicable differently to each state per Article 31 (B) when the required changes are added to the schedule IX of the constitution by constitutional amendments.
