Why is cheap and affordable credit is crucial for the country's development

Answer»

nd affordable credit is crucial for the country's development due to the following factors: 1. More lending would lead to higher incomes and encourage people to GROW crops, do business and set up small SCALE industries. 2. Cheap credit means more income is left with the borrower to reinvest rather than return as interest. This leads to ACCELERATION of economic activity. 3. Cheap credit would also allow weaker sections of society to enter formal sector of lending and rid them of exploitation. 4. Affordable credit would also end the cycle of debt trap and lead to sustainable economic activity that would allow borrowers to invest in better technology to make their business more competitive. informal lenders CHARGE a much higger interest rate on loans.so de cost to the borrower of in4mal lender is much higher higher cost of borrowing means larger part of de earnings of the borrowers is used to repay the loan.so borrowers have less income left 4 themselves sometimes high interest rate 4 borrowing means that de amont 2 b repaid is greater than de income of the borrower.this could lead to increasing dept also people who wish 2 start an enterprise with borrowing may not do so bczz of high cost of borrowing 4 these reasons banks and cooperative societies need to lent more.this would lead to higher incomes and many people could then BORROW cheaply 4 a variety of needs . thy cld grw crops ,do business etc. hence, for these reasons ,cheap and affordable credit is crucial 4 de countries development

State any three in effects of poverty also mention some solution to remove this

Answer»

y is humiliation, the sense of being dependent on them, and of being forced to accept rudeness, insults, and indifference when we seek help.” —Latvia 1998 In the simplest term, poverty may be defined as a social condition where individuals do not have financial means to meet the most basic standards of life that is acceptable by the society. Individuals experiencing poverty do not have the means to pay for basic needs of daily life like food, clothes and shelter.   Poverty also staves people off from accessing much needed social tools of well-being like education and health REQUIREMENTS. The direct consequences stemming from this problem are hunger, malnutrition and susceptibility to diseases which have been identified as major problems across the world. It impacts individuals in a socio-psychological way with them not being ABLE to afford simple recreational activities and getting progressively marginalized in the society. The term poverty is interconnected with the notion of the poverty line/ threshold that may be defined as the minimum figure of income that is required in a particular country for maintaining the socially acceptable quality of life in terms of nutritional, clothing and sheltering needs. The World Bank has updated its international poverty line figures to 1.90 USD (Rs. 123.5) per day on October 2015 (based on prices of commodities in year 2011-2012), from 1.5 USD(Rs. 81) as a response to the changes in the cost of living across the world as per current economy. The organization estimates that – “Just over 900 million people globally lived under this line in 2012 (based on the latest available DATA), and we project that in 2015, just over 700 million are living in EXTREME poverty.”

What policies strenghthened the federalism of india? Give 5 points

Answer» L success of federalism in India can be attributed to the nature of democratic politics in our country. This ensured that the spirit of federalism, respect for diversity and desire for  living together became a shared ideal in our country. The policies that have strengthened federalism in India are :(i) Some new states have been created on the basis of either language, culture, ethnicity or geography. This has made administration easier.(ii) Even though Hindi was identified as the official language by our Constitution, other languages have also been protected. Besides Hindi, there are 21 other languages recognized as scheduled languages by the Constitution. States too have their own official languages. Thus, not DECLARING Hindi a national language or imposing it on all the states has strengthened federalism.(iii)By restructuring the centre-state relations, federalism has got strengthened. Earlier, the central government could EASILY DISMISS the state governments which were controlled by the rival parties. But after 1990, there was a rise of regional political parties in many states of the country. The ERA of coalition governments which needs an alliance with many parties including several regional parties to form a government at the centre, has led to a newculture of power sharing and respect for the autonomy of the states.but add me in brainlist.....please.....

The colonial administration destroyed Indian industries and there was no FORM of development and when India gained it's independence, there were large number of people in poverty.➡ India experienced high growth rate of population and the low economic growth. This led to a larger population but with lower employment opportunities. This further restricted anti poverty MEASURES and large parts of population remained in poverty.➡ There has been unequal distribution of wealth in India. What are the rights for an arrested person in India

Answer»

the basic tenets of our legal system is the benefit of the presumption of innocence of the accused till he is found guilty at the end of a trial on legal evidence. In a democratic SOCIETY even the rights of the accused are sacrosanct, though accused of an offence, he does not become a non-person. Rights of the accused include the rights of the accused at the time of arrest, at the time of search and seizure, during the process of trial and the like. The accused in India are afforded certain rights, the most basic of which are found in the INDIAN Constitution. The general theory behind these rights is that the GOVERNMENT has enormous resources available to it for the prosecution of individuals, and individuals therefore are entitled to some protection from misuse of those powers by the government. An accused has certain rights during the course of any investigation; enquiry or trial of an offence with which he is charged and he should be protected against arbitrary or illegal arrest. Police have a wide powers conferred on them to arrest any person under Cognizable offence without going to magistrate, so Court should be vigilant to see that theses powers are not abused for LIGHTLY used for personal benefits. No arrest can be made on mere suspicion or information. Even private person cannot follow and arrest a person on the STATEMENT of another person, however impeachable it is.Though the police has been given various powers for facilitating the making of arrests, the powers are subject to certain restraints. These restraints are primarily provided for the protection of the interests of the person to be arrested, and also of the society at large. The imposition of the restraints can be considered, to an extent, as the recognition of the rights of the arrested person. There are, however, some other provisions which have rather more expressly and directly created important rights in favour of the arrested person.hope it will help you
