write an essay on how different types of paper is useful for us and why it is important to save paper |
|
Answer» s too valuable to WASTE. Your argument on that, “No, it isn’t!, it’s too cheap and costs a few bucks” Well let me explain how?Around the WORLD we USE 1 million tones of paper everyday and 93% of paper comes from TREES alone which we can call as virgin paper. Paper also accounts for HALF of municipal solid waste. The pulp and paper industry is the third largest consumer of energy and uses more water to produce a ton of product than any other industry and is one of the world’s major greenhouse gas emitters. About 20,000,000 trees are cut down annually for virgin paper used for production of books in the US alone and this figure is huge.So think green and save the environment while saving you some money by using less paper. Anything we can do to save paper will help reduce the amount of trash going into landfills, and it will also reduce energy use and pollution associated with manufacturing, transporting, and recycling new paper products. Perhaps most importantly, when we save paper, we reduce the need to cut down trees to make new paper. |

How was nazism how did it become popular in germany explain |
|
Answer» 1920s, Germany FACED social and economic problems. The Weimar Government was unpopular and faced opposition from both left and right. The Nazis were able to GAIN wide support and rise to powerThe appeal of the Nazis Hitler leaves Landsberg Prison 1924 Hitler leaves Landsberg Prison 1924 Adolf Hitler was disillusioned and bitter after World War One. He felt the war had ended too soon and the Weimar Republic had sold Germany out by agreeing to the Treaty of Versailles. In 1919 he joined a small political party in Munich, known as the German Workers' Party. Before long he was its leader. He changed the party name to the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). This became known as the Nazi party. Nazi policies The Nazi party’s policies were deliberately vague so they might appeal to as many people as possible. People of both right and moderate-left wing politics joined because they agreed with at least one of their policies: an aim to abolish the "unfair punishment" of the Treaty of Versailles was popular with many Germans promises of better pensions and increased employment appealed to the common man and many traditional socialists opposition to communism led many landowners and businessmen to support the Nazis – they were seen as the only credible right-wing alternative to the left-wing parties. belief in the supremacy of the German race appealed to nationalists. paramilitary groups reminded people of the comradeship they shared as soldiers during World War One the promise to re-militarise Germany would bring in huge industrial contracts – bringing support from many industrialists Hitler's hatred of Jews struck a chord with many people - they were a convenient scapegoat for all Germany's problems Use of propaganda Propaganda poster aimed at women saying “German women, think of your children – Vote Hitler”Propaganda poster “German women, think of your children – Vote Hitler” Propaganda is information spread to promote a political cause and to persuade people of a certain point of view. Information about what the Nazis believed in and who they blamed for Germany’s dire situation was effectively spread by the Party’s propaganda machine. Hitler put Josef Goebbels in charge of Nazi propaganda. Methods of campaigning that the Nazis used in the 1920s included radio mass rallies newspapers (eg 'Der Sturmer') Hitler's speeches posters The Nazis used simple slogans to introduce their ideas and to make them appeal to the ordinary people of Germany. At the same time Goebbels prevented those who opposed Nazi policies from expressing their views. This helped ensure only Nazi messages got across to the public. Nazi ORGANISATION The Nazi Party was extremely organised. This meant they were able to convey policies to a wide range of people, while appearing to be competent and able to run the country: The Nazis were present in many German cities and towns with many local offices Nazi party members WORKED efficiently to spread policies through propaganda the SA appeared to be a strong organisation which could PROTECT Germany from its enemies – internal as well as external. When social unrest increased, after benefits were cut in 1930, Hitler used fear of Communism to get support from indutrialists. Alfred Hugenberg, an industrialist who owned a chain of newspapers ,and Fritz Thyssen, a steel manufacturer, along with other industrialists formed the Harzburg Front. The Harzburg Front helped finance the Nazi election campaigns in 1932-1933. This ensured the Communists were defeated. |

Write about the method of protest during non-cooperation and civil disobedience movement? |
|
Answer» s Non-Cooperation Movement? The Non-Cooperation Movement was a significant phase of the Indian independence movement from British rule. It was led by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi after the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. It aimed to resist British rule in India through nonviolent means. Protestors would refuse to buy British goods, adopt the use of local handicrafts and picket liquor shops. The ideas of Ahimsa and nonviolence, and Gandhi's ability to rally hundreds of thousands of common citizens towards the cause of Indian independence, were first seen on a large scale in this movement through the summer 1920. Gandhi feared that the movement might lead to popular violence. The non-cooperation movement was launched on 1st August, 1920. Causes of Non-Cooperation Movement? People's resentment against the Rowlatt Act People's REACTION to the ghastly massacre at the Jallianwalabag The demand for Swaraj jointly raised by the Moderates and the Extremists. The possibility of a Hindu-Muslim joint movement on the Khilafat question. What was Civil Disobedience Movement? The Civil Disobedience Movement carried forward the unfinished work of the Non-Cooperation Movement. It was started with Dandi March (also Salt march, Salt satyagraha) by MAHATMA Gandhi on 12th March, 1930. Practically the whole country became involved in it. Hartals put life at a standstill. There were large-scale boycotts of schools, colleges and offices. Foreign goods were BURNT in BONFIRES. People stopped PAYING taxes. For a few days, British control over Peshawar and Sholapur ended. People faced the batons and bullets of the police with supreme courage. No one retaliated or said anything to the police. Why Gandhi started Civil disobedience movement? In March 1930, Gandhiji wrote in the newspaper, Young India, that he might suspend his civil disobedience or law-breaking movement if the government accepted his eleven-point demands. But Lord Irwin’s government did not respond. So, Gandhiji started the Civil Disobedience Movement. What was the importance of Dandi March (Salt Satyagraha)? The Dandi March aroused great enthusiasm among the people. Everywhere the people began to break the law by selling banned political pamphlets, by showing defiance of section 144 and by with holding rents. Gandhiji called upon the women to begin spinning. In response to his call women took to spinning they also started picketing at the door of Government offices and foreign-goods shops. This participation of the women was a new thing in the freedom struggle. The movement was very tense in Bengal and the north-west. Sarojini Naidu came to the forefront during this movement. In the north-west the most famous leader was Abdul Gaffar Khan, knick-named as “Frontier Gandhi”. |

Answer» s and railways are complementary to each other as follows:Rail and roads are complementary to each other, which means ROAD system links up cultivators with the local market and with the nearest railway STATION, whereas railways provide connecting links between the area of production and the consumers. Civil society is voluntary and self mobilized social group.how |
|
Answer» ociety envisages the growth of civilization in a way that the society is in “CIVILIZED form.” It has been PROMINENT in Social science since time immemorial. Till 18th century, it was synonymous with the state or political society. It was more or less direct translation of Cicero’s Societas’ Civilis and Aristotle’s Koinonia politike. According to Karl Marx, “Civil Society embraces the whole material intercourse of individuals within a definite stage of development of productive forces.” Civil Society is an arena where modern man legitimately gratifies his self-interest and DEVELOPS his individuality, but also learns the value of group action, social solidarity which educates him for citizenship and equips him to participate in the political sphere of the state. It provides “networks of civic engagement” within which reciprocity is learned and enforced, trust is generated. An active and diverse civil society plays a valuable role in advancement of democracy. It seeks to ensure that citizen’s interests are taken seriously. The social work intervention may not be democratically envisaged until it is promulgated by civic engagement through Civil Society. Methodology: This is a descriptive study which consists of secondary source of data collection based on reports, books, PERIODIC JOURNALS, web-based articles. There have been utilized three case studies for reaching the findings of study. This article will highlight on role of civil society in providing democratic space and assisting social workers to ensure inclusive growth through conglomeration of state and individuals. |

In a capitalist economy, wealth enjoys the prestige in the society, which results in erosion of human values.2. There is a large-scale wastage of resources due to unnecessary competition.3. In capitalist system, owners of the means of production can earn more as compared to those who do not possess much means of production. This brings wide inequalities in the distribution of income and wealth.4. In modern capitalist market group rivalries and price wars, price-agreements etc. are COMMONLY FOUND. Speculative practices also present in the system.5. In capitalist countries, society possesses two CLASSES such as haves and have-nots. There is no coordination among the activities of different producers and consumers under capitalism. It is entirely left to the operation of market mechanism, This gives rise to the problem of inflation and deflation.7. Capitalist system creates unemployment problem also. Under capitalist economy, laborers are not paid reasonably. So their purchasing power becomes less. This reduces the aggregate demand in the economy, which results in less production and unemployment.8. Capitalism is basically a sellers market where consumer has no freedom. |
Answer» lowing are the advantages of the public distribution system: It has helped in stabilising food prices and MAKING food available to consumers at affordable prices. It has helped in avoiding hunger and famine by supplying food from surplus regions of the country to deficient regions. The system of minimum support price and procurement has contributed to increase in foodgrain production. The following are the disadvantages of the public distribution system; Instances of hunger occur despite granaries being full. This points to certain lacunae or inefficiency in the system. High level of buffer stocks often leads to wastage of foodgrains and deterioration in quality. The storage of foodgrains inculcates high carrying costs on the government.
