Who was writing disrespectful letters, and trying to humiliate the nawab and his officials?

Answer»

Answer:

Explanation:

Through the early eighteenth century the conflict between the Company and the nawabs of Bengal intensified. After the death of Aurangzeb, the Bengal nawabs asserted their power and autonomy, as other regional power were doing at that time. Murshid Quii Khan was followed by Alivardi Khan and then Sirajuddaulah as the nawab of Bengal. Each one of them was a strong ruler. They REFUSED to grant the Company concessions, demanded large tributes for the Company's right to trade, denied it any right to mint coins, and stopped it from extending its fortifications. Accusing the company of deceit, they claimed that the Company was depriving the Bengal government of huge amount of revenue and undermining the authority of the nawab. It was REFUSING to PAY taxes, writing disrespectful letters, and trying to humiliate the nawab and his officials.   The Company on its part declared that the unjust demands of the local officials were ruining the trade of the Company, and trade could flourish only if the duties were removed. It was ALSO convinced that to expand trade it had to enlarge its SETTLEMENTS, buy up villages, and rebuild its forts.

The reaction takes place because ... *iron is less reactive than copperiron is more reactive than copperiron does not react with copperall of the above.

Answer»

IRON is more reactive than copper is the correct answer

Copper does not have a higher REACTIVITY than iron. Since copper is less reactive than iron, it does not displace iron from its solution.

Iron displaces copper ions from an AQUEOUS solution of copper sulphate. It is a SINGLE displacement reaction of one METAL by another metal. ... In this reaction, metallic iron is converted into ferrous ion (Fe2+) and cupric ion (Cu2 +) is converted into metallic copper. Fe (s) + Cu2 + (aq) —→ Fe2+ (aq) + Cu (s).

Write the problems that were faced by each group of people during the British rule. Farmers Weavers S4 1 The Revolt Name

Answer»

Answer:

Explanation:

Indian soldiers, known as sepoys, set off a rebellion against the British rule in 1857, often referred to as the first war of independence. Ordinary farmers took up arms to support them in the fight against the British, but their contribution has been largely FORGOTTEN. A group of RESEARCHERS is now trying to revive their MEMORY, writes Sunaina Kumar.

The village of Bijraul, on the outskirts of Meerut district in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, had a small celebration on 10 May to mark the 160th ANNIVERSARY of the uprising of 1857 - a rebellion against the rule of the British East India Company.

The residents of the village paid tributes to their ancestor Shah Mal for his role in the revolt. He INSPIRED thousands of peasants across nearly 84 villages to leave their fields and take up arms in 1857.

But not many people in India have heard of this prosperous landlord.

"People of the district were in a fever of excitement to know whether 'their raj' or ours was to triumph," wrote Robert Henry Wallace Dunlop, a civil officer, in Service and Adventure with the Khakhee Resallah, a record of the volunteer corps formed to quell the uprising.
