How wene the antisians attected b the Revol t ot 1& s-? |
Answer» Industrial Revolution in England and the economic policy of the East India Company jointly closed the markets for Indian handicrafts. In England machines went for large scale productions and those machine products were cheap and colorful. Not only markets but also the British Government as well as manufacturers encouraged the supply of their machine products to European markets. As a result, the British machine-products entered into unfair competition with Indian products. Handicrafts of India could not sustain the pressure of the competition with cheaper machine goods. Thus, those were driven out of European markets. Further, the British trade policy proved extremely fatal for Indian handicrafts. In 1813, trade monopoly was abolished and one way free trade policy was imposed on India. By this policy the British machine products were imported to India freely and the export of Indian goods to England was discouraged by imposition of heavy duties on those products. The Industrial Revolution closed foreign markets for Indian goods and British trade policy closed domestic market for Indian products. Once the markets were closed demand for Indian products declined suddenly and production stopped. It resulted in making the artisans and craftsman jobless and handicraft industries were closed down. |

Why should we follow traffic rules? |
Answer» The reason why you should abide by traffic rules is because of the decision process that drivers go through. Complex traffic situations can arise that require assessment of multiple factors and having a vehicle behave in predicable ways (following the road rules) mitigates the stress of the decisions. We all know that speed, in of itself, doesn't kill anyone otherwise there would be no F1 or space launches. The big difference is the level of preparation and training for those endeavours and you can believe that predictability is what those guys and gals want. When dealing with a vast cohort of inadequately trained and often impulsive people in charge of 2 tonne machinery, you better hope that drivers are behaving within established road rules. |
| 2547. |
Write in brief about the present traffic rules of India? |
Answer» Drivers must drive their vehicles on the left side of the road Drivers shall use the stipulated hand signals or vehicle indicators to indicate slowing down, stopping, turning or overtaking Driver must ensure that all vehicle registration marks be displayed clearly and not be hidden by an load or goods stored in the vehicle Drivers must follow lane discipline. If turning to the left, the vehicle must be in the extreme left lane of the road and vice versa Overtaking of another vehicle moving in the same direction must only be done from the right side of that vehicle Drivers must give free passage to fire service vehicles or ambulances |
