6. The topography of an area can affect the climate of that area Which of these could be part ofthe topography of a place?A a personB. a mountainc. a heavy rainD. a delivery truck |
Answer» When tectonic plates smash into each other, they push the Earth’s crust higher and higher, forming mountains. Some mountain ranges, like the Himalayas, are still growing. Others, like the Appalachians, saw their heyday hundreds of millions of years ago and have been weathering away ever since. Volcanoes also form mountains and periodically erupt – scraping clear the landscape. On a mountain, weather and the organisms that live there rapidly change as elevation increases. As temperatures get colder, tree species change, and then become scarcer before disappearing entirely. At the top there may be nothing but snow and ice. But even these bleak landscapes are home to a diverse array of plants and animals adapted for that environment. Until recently, mountain habitats have been largely protected because of their inaccessibility. As people have moved into the mountains to live, for recreation and to obtain valuable resources such as timber, mountain ecosystems around the world have been subject to degradation and destruction. |

Short information about Victoria coin |
Answer» The crowns featured on the coins throughout the Victorian era were St. Edward’s Crown, the Queen’s Imperial State Crown, the little crown she had made to perch on top of her mourning veil, and a tiara. Victoria withdrew from public life following the death of her husband in 1861. In 1870 she agreed to start making appearances again, and had a crown made to replace her Imperial State Crown, which she found heavy and wouldn’t work well with a mourning veil. The new crown followed the basic design of British crowns with four half-arches, cross pattees, and fleur-de-lis, but no inner velvet cap, and contains 1,187 diamonds. (Coloured stones wouldn’t have been acceptable with mourning dress.) The tiara appeared lastly, and is thought to be the flexible diamond and sapphire headpiece crafted in 1842 as a gift from Prince Albert, which Victoria always referred to as a coronet. She felt the sapphires were dark enough to match mourning attire. I want information about India's Victoria coin |

Why was linguistic state built in India? |
Answer» At the time of independence in 1947, India consisted of 571 disjointed princely states that were merged together to form 27states. The grouping of states at the time was done on the basis of political and historical considerations rather than on linguistic or cultural divisions, but this was a temporary arrangement. On account of the multilingual nature and differences that existed between various states, there was a need for the states to be reorganized on a permanent basis. In 1948, SK Dhar - a judge of the Allahabad High Court - was appointed by the government to head a commission that would look into the need for the reorganization of states on a linguistic basis. However, the Commission preferred reorganisation of states on the basis of administrative convenience including historical and geographical considerations instead of on linguistic lines. In December 1948, the JVPCommitteecomprising Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabh bhai Patel and Pattabhi Sitaramayya was formed to study the issue. The Committee, in its report submitted in April 1949, rejected the idea of reorgansation of states on a linguistic basis but said that the issue could be looked at afresh in the light of public demand. In 1953, the first linguistic state of Andhra for Telugu-speaking people was born. The government was forced to separate the Telugu speaking areas from the state of Madras, in the face of a prolonged agitation and the death of Potti Sriramulu after a 56-day hunger strike. Consequently, there were similar demands for creation of states on linguistic basis from other parts of the country. only 3 point me answer de please fast Please read the above paragraphs. There are lots of points given there and it takes 2 minutes to read it.You can them write it down. ok Linguistic states were built in India to ensure that people who spoke the same lived in same state. This ensured that the spirit of federalism ,respect for diversity and desire for living together became a shared ideal in India. advantages of linguistic states . it made the country more united. it made administration easier. hope it helps... |

Define utility. When can it be negative? |
Answer» A utility function can certainly be negative. The utility function isnothing more than a way to represent a preference relationship. This is an important conceptual point. In several theorems that typically show up in introductory texts, we show that sets of preferences that satisfy certain regularity conditions can be represented as utility function. Also, there are different decision theory frameworks that allow the utility function to be transformed. You alluded to something like this in your question. In the traditional framework without uncertainty, the utility function is defined up to a monotonic transformation. Under certain kinds of uncertainty, we get Von Neumann–Morgenstern utility functions that are unique up to affine transformations. You can read more about this elsewhere. For now, the consider the following definition of a utility function. It is taken fromAdvanced Microeconomic Theoryby Jehle and Reny (3rd edition) |
